Business Analyst

We are seeking experienced Business Analysts to support complex technology and cyber security initiatives within a fast-paced delivery environment. The role will work closely with business and technical stakeholders to analyse requirements, develop high-quality business analysis artefacts, and support the delivery of secure, fit-for-purpose solutions.

The successful candidate will bring strong stakeholder engagement, analytical, and documentation skills, with experience working across agile teams and managing competing priorities within technically complex environments. This role will be a 12-month contract based on-site in Brisbane or Canberra.

Requirements

What I’ll Do

• Lead stakeholder engagement activities to elicit, analyse, prioritise, and validate business and technical requirements across complex delivery environments.
• Produce clear, structured, and maintainable business analysis artefacts including requirements documentation, process models, use cases, operating models, traceability matrices, and test documentation.
• Translate business needs into developer-ready artefacts suitable for agile delivery and iterative implementation.
• Support governance, assurance, and accreditation activities by contributing to security documentation, risk assessments, controls mapping, and audit-ready outputs.
• Maintain accurate and current documentation within Jira and Confluence, ensuring traceability and effective knowledge transfer across project teams.
• Facilitate workshops, discussions, and stakeholder forums to drive informed decision-making and alignment across technical and non-technical audiences.
• Support system, integration, and user acceptance testing activities through development of test cases, validation activities, and defect management.
• Apply best practice business analysis methodologies and continuous improvement approaches to support successful project outcomes.

What I’ll Bring

• Demonstrated business analysis experience delivering outcomes on complex projects and programs.
• Strong capability in requirements elicitation, analysis, modelling, documentation, validation, and traceability management.
• Experience working within agile and multidisciplinary delivery teams in fast-paced and technically complex environments.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence outcomes and manage competing perspectives effectively.
• Proven ability to produce high-quality, fit-for-purpose, and audit-ready documentation aligned with governance and assurance requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, with a pragmatic and outcomes-focused approach to delivery.
• Experience using tools such as Jira and Confluence to manage workflows, artefacts, and delivery documentation.
• Understanding of cyber security, risk management, and secure delivery principles within government or enterprise environments.
• Ability to work independently while contributing positively to collaborative team outcomes.
