About Redwood Materials

Redwood is localizing a global battery supply chain that seamlessly integrates recovery, reuse, and recycling keeping critical minerals in circulation and driving the energy transition. Founded in 2017, we’re delivering low-cost and large-scale energy storage and producing battery materials in the U.S. for the first time, all from batteries we already have.

Senior Recruiter

Redwood Materials is building a circular supply chain for batteries. We upcycle, recycle, refine, and remanufacture the materials that power electric vehicles and grid storage. The work is physical, the scale is large, and the team is growing.

We are hiring a Senior Recruiter to own full-cycle hiring across operations, corporate, and technical roles. This is a senior seat. You will not just fill reqs. You will diagnose what is broken, push back on bad assumptions, and build process that holds up under volume.

What you will do

  • Own full-cycle recruiting from kickoff to close across a mixed portfolio of reqs.
  • Partner with hiring managers to define real requirements. Challenge the weak ones.
  • Diagnose stalled pipelines using funnel data. Fix the cause, not the symptom.
  • Keep ATS hygiene tight in Greenhouse or Ashby, so pipeline data stays trustworthy.
  • Surface market intel on compensation, talent supply, and competitor movement.
  • Work alongside AI-native sourcing and screening workflows. Help build them, not just run them.
  • Raise the team's bar by sharing playbooks, tooling, and process.

What you bring

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience within manufacturing, clean energy, technology, logistics, or similarly fast-paced and high-growth industries.
  • A track record running full-cycle recruiting across high-volume, multi-function pipelines.
  • Comfort carrying many reqs at once without letting candidate experience slip.
  • Fluency with Greenhouse, Ashby and modern sourcing tools.
  • Willingness to use AI tooling to move faster, and curiosity about where recruiting is heading.
  • Funnel literacy. You read time-to-fill, conversion, and offer acceptance as signals, not just reports.
  • Strong judgment in hiring manager relationships. You can influence and disagree well.
  • High organization and self-direction in an ambiguous, fast-moving environment.
  • Interest in industrial decarbonization and the hard problems behind it. Said another way: a passion for sustainability and making the world a better place!

The position is full-time. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
