Position Overview:
We are seeking an attentive and results-driven Purchasing Coordinator to join our team. The Purchasing Coordinator ensures that materials, equipment, and licensing are procured accurately, efficiently, and on time to support project execution and service operations. This role is the critical link between purchasing, project management, inventory, and field operations — keeping jobs on schedule and data systems clean. Please note, this is an in-person role and Dallas area candidates will be expected to commute daily to our office located in Richardson.
Key Responsibilities:
- Procurement Management: Onboard vendors to Digi’s systems for billing and invoicing. Prepare and process purchase orders in accordance with company policies and procedures, and coordinate payment with the Accounting department.
- Vendor Relations: Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers to ensure the best pricing, quality, and delivery terms. Address and resolve any issues or discrepancies with suppliers regarding quality, quantity, or delivery of security system components.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all purchasing transactions and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Prepare regular reports on purchasing activities, costs, and supplier performance.
- Product Cataloging: Update Digi’s extensive product catalog to reflect most recent product and pricing. Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities without compromising on quality.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of inventory processes.
- Collaboration: Assist the Inventory Team by participating in company audits, preparing documentation, and providing assistance to Inventory Coordinator in Dallas warehouse on an as-needed basis.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in purchasing, preferably in a commercial construction/low-voltage or electrical industry.
- Technical Knowledge: Preference will be given to candidates with a strong understanding of online inventory systems, ERP implementation, and industry best practices.
- Computer Skills: Candidates must be comfortable navigating a computer, have strong typing skills, and write email correspondence. Preference will be given to candidates with experience with project management, Microsoft Excel, and ERP systems.
- Attention to Detail: Extreme attention to detail is required to ensure accurate data entry and data transfer between systems.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with technical teams, clients, and executive leadership.

Physical Requirements
- Must be comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs to assist in the warehouse when needed.
- Must be comfortable traversing warehouse environment.
- Must have a current, valid driver's license in the state of which you are applying and have the ability to meet our company driving standards.
