About the Position
The Golden State Warriors are looking for an organized and proactive Accounts Receivable Specialist to ensure timely billing and collections of payments from our customers. In this role, you will be responsible for the processing of cash receipts, A/R postings & ledger reporting, invoicing, collections, journal entry creation, and account reconciliations. This position is viewed as a critical role for the success of the accounting department, and you are required to have a strong accounting and application background, as well as a deep understanding of accounting principles. This position reports to the Manager, Billing and Accounts Receivable.

This is a full-time position based in San Francisco, CA.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and post high-volume daily cash receipts, including ACH/wire transfers, credit card payments, checks, and lockbox activity to customer accounts
- Reconcile daily bank deposits against accounts receivable (AR) ledgers, resolving any discrepancies, short payments, or unapplied cash in a timely manner
- Partner with ticket sales, corporate partnerships, suites, event operations and GL teams to identify unidentified payments and ensure proper posting and revenue recognition
- Analyze and resolve payment variances, chargebacks, and customer account inquiries by researching historical transaction data
- Assist the accounting team with month-end close processes, including journal entries, AR aging reviews, and preparation of audit schedules
- Identify opportunities to streamline the cash application process, automate manual workflows, enhance internal controls, document and implement SOPs
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience
- 2 – 4 years of experience in accounts receivable, cash applications, or corporate accounting; sports, entertainment and venue management experience is a plus
- Experience participating in financial audits or working within a SOX-compliant environment
- Proficient experience with enterprise ERP systems such as: NetSuite, Oracle, SAP
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace (e.g. VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, QUERY functions, pivot tables and array formulas) to manipulate large and analyze large financial datasets
- Experience with ticketing platforms (e.g., Ticketmaster) or CMR tools (e.g., Salesforce) is highly preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication, customer service and resolution skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with clients and peers at all levels within the organization
- Ability to prioritize and balance multiple projects at once in a fast-paced work environment
- Maintain confidentiality of pertinent company data
Compensation
- $31.00 - $33.00 Per Hour + Bonus
