Position: Commercial Executive
Location: Southwark, London (Hybrid)


About the Position

Are you looking to build your commercial career in FMCG and gain hands-on experience working with some of the UK’s largest grocery retailers?

As Commercial Executive, you’ll support the Retail Sales Team in driving operational excellence across major customer accounts including Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Asda, and Morrisons. Working closely with Key Account Managers, you’ll play an important role in supporting pricing, promotions, reporting, customer systems, and commercial administration.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to develop foundational commercial experience in a fast-paced retail environment, with clear opportunities for progression into customer-facing account management roles over time.

You’ll join a collaborative, supportive team where development, ownership, and continuous learning are actively encouraged.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Commercial Reporting & Pricing

  • Maintain and update weekly retail pricing reports and promotional trackers.
  • Support analysis and reporting across key retail accounts.

Customer & System Administration

  • Maintain active customer product lists, ensuring accurate product and pricing data is available to the sales team.
  • Manage rebates, accruals, and discount tracking processes for selected customer groups.
  • Validate customer invoices and support accurate payment processing.

Commercial Operations Support

  • Support Key Account Managers with account administration, EPOS tracking, reporting, and customer systems.
  • Assist with commercial projects and provide operational support across the wider Retail Sales Team.
  • Ensure processes are managed accurately and delivered on time.

So, what does it take to be successful in this role?

We’re looking for a highly organised, analytical, and commercially curious individual who is eager to learn and develop within FMCG retail sales. You should have:

  • Previous experience in an administrative or commercial support role within a fast-paced business environment. FMCG experience is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail and a “right first time” mindset.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel; experience using SAP or reporting systems is beneficial.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload and manage deadlines effectively.
  • Clear communication skills and confidence working across multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • A proactive, team-oriented attitude with a strong desire to learn and grow your commercial career.
  • Fluent English (written and spoken) is essential.
