Manager, Legal & Compliance (Compliance)

Working Location: Empire Tower (100% onsite, accessible via BTS Chong Nonsi)

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the company’s compliance framework to ensure business operations and internal activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
• Monitor, assess, and provide practical guidance on regulatory developments from the Bank of Thailand, AMLO, and other relevant regulators, including analyzing potential business and operational impacts.
• Partner closely with business units, product, operations, risk, and other internal stakeholders to support compliant business growth and implementation of regulatory requirements.
• Act as a key liaison with regulators and support regulatory submissions, inquiries, audits, inspections, and ongoing communications.
• Develop, review, enhance, and implement compliance policies, procedures, controls, and governance frameworks to align with regulatory expectations and business needs.
• Conduct compliance risk assessments and identify areas for improvement, including recommending remediation measures and monitoring implementation progress.
• Provide compliance advisory support and training to internal stakeholders to promote a strong compliance culture across the organization.
• Support management reporting and prepare compliance updates, reports, and materials for senior management and relevant committees.
• Support and strengthen the company’s corporate compliance framework, including internal policies, governance standards, code of conduct, and internal control processes.
• Assist in managing compliance monitoring activities and ensuring timely resolution of compliance-related issues.
• Support regional or cross-functional compliance initiatives and projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Law.
• At least 5 - 8 years of experience in compliance, legal, or regulatory advisory roles, preferably within payments, fintech, banking, financial services, or e-commerce industries.
• Strong understanding of financial services regulations and regulatory expectations, particularly relating to payment services, AML/CFT, and compliance governance.
• Ability to work independently, manage stakeholders effectively, and balance regulatory requirements with business objectives.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience interacting with regulators or supporting regulatory examinations/audits would be an advantage.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.
