About The Production Team
The Production team oversees the day-to-day manufacturing operations that support the filling, labeling, assembly, and packaging of Bentley Labs’ cosmetic and OTC products. Working within a fast-paced GMP-regulated manufacturing environment, the team plays a critical role in ensuring products are produced safely, efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with quality and regulatory standards.The team partners closely with Quality, Warehouse, Maintenance, Planning, and Engineering to support operational performance, customer expectations, continuous improvement, and overall manufacturing excellence.
About The Production Manager Role
We are seeking a highly driven and operationally focused Production Manager who can work within a fast-paced contract manufacturing environment specializing in skincare, haircare, body care, and OTC products. This role is responsible for overseeing production execution, staffing, scheduling, efficiency, quality compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives across filling, assembly, and packaging operations.The ideal candidate understands both the operational demands and regulatory expectations of cosmetic and OTC manufacturing and can lead teams with urgency, accountability, and precision while maintaining GMP compliance and production performance.
Key Responsibilities
Production Operations
• Lead day-to-day manufacturing operations across filling, labeling, assembly, and packaging departments.
• Execute production schedules to meet customer deadlines, labor targets, and operational KPIs.
• Coordinate manpower, equipment, materials, and production priorities to maximize throughput and minimize downtime.
• Ensure production orders are completed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with approved batch records and SOPs.
• Drive schedule attainment, OEE improvements, labor efficiency, and waste reduction initiatives.
Leadership & Team Development
• Manage, coach, and develop production supervisors, leads, and manufacturing personnel.
• Establish a culture of accountability, urgency, quality, and operational excellence.
• Conduct performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and employee development planning.
• Support hiring, onboarding, and workforce planning initiatives.
• Maintain strong floor presence and hands-on leadership style.
GMP & Regulatory Compliance
• Ensure manufacturing operations comply with FDA regulations, GMP requirements, SOPs, safety standards, and internal quality systems.
• Partner closely with Quality, Regulatory, Warehouse, Maintenance, and Planning teams to ensure compliant and efficient operations.
• Support internal audits, customer audits, and FDA inspections.
• Ensure line clearance, documentation accuracy, reconciliation, and batch record completion requirements are met.
• Drive right-first-time manufacturing practices and deviation reduction.
Continuous Improvement
• Identify operational bottlenecks and implement process improvements.
• Lead initiatives related to lean manufacturing, downtime reduction, scrap reduction, labor optimization, and capacity improvements.
• Monitor production metrics and implement corrective actions where performance gaps exist.
• Support equipment upgrades, process validation activities, and new product launches.
Safety & Facility Oversight
• Maintain a safe manufacturing environment and enforce all safety procedures and policies.
• Ensure proper housekeeping, sanitation, and organization standards are maintained throughout production areas.
• Collaborate with Maintenance to ensure equipment readiness and preventive maintenance effectiveness.

Success in this role includes consistently meeting production schedules, operational KPIs, quality standards, and customer expectations while maintaining a safe and GMP-compliant manufacturing environment. Strong performance is demonstrated through efficient production execution, labor optimization, schedule attainment, reduced downtime and waste, strong team leadership, and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational performance and manufacturing efficiency.The successful candidate will lead with urgency, accountability, organization, and a hands-on leadership approach while fostering a culture focused on safety, quality, teamwork, and operational excellence.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or related field.
• 5+ years of production management experience within cosmetics, personal care, pharmaceuticals, OTC, food, or related regulated manufacturing industries.
• Strong knowledge of GMP manufacturing environments.
• Experience managing high-volume production teams in a contract manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and production scheduling systems preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
• Cosmetic and OTC manufacturing experience.
• Knowledge of GMP, ISO 22107 and CRF 210/210 regulations related to OTC and cosmetic manufacturing.
• Experience overseeing packaging operations.
• Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience.
• Exposure to customer audits, investigations, and CAPA/deviation systems.

Compensation:
The anticipated salary range for this position is between $85,000 and $95,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors, including relevant experience, skills, education, qualifications, and internal budget considerations.
