As Senior Director of Business Development, you’re the person who owns the room, leads the process, and brings in the right people at the right moment to close. You're not waiting on inbound leads but rather working your network and existing relationships to create new experiential opportunities for clients and our agency. This is a role for someone who always bets on themselves.

What you’ll be doing

Hunt and Build

  • Drive a proactive outbound pipeline — we're talking a 75/25 outbound-to-inbound split as the north star
  • Leverage your existing relationships with brand marketers and industry partners to open doors and build opportunity from scratch
  • Develop and execute a disciplined pursuit strategy across targeted new and expansion accounts
  • Contribute to the annual new business plan for your market, including campaign and local marketing efforts

Own the Pitch Process

  • Serve as pitch captain: own the full proposal lifecycle from qualification through close
  • Pull in the right SMEs (creative, strategy, production) at the right moments — and keep the process moving without relying on them to drive it
  • Use research, competitive intelligence, and PTW analysis to guide proposal strategy and improve win rates
  • Deliver presentations with credibility and conviction — you're a dynamic champion for the work and the agency

Show Up as a Strategic Partner & Seller

  • Manage client relationships with confidence and strategic clarity
  • Navigate scope conversations, manage expectations, and keep lines of communication clean
  • Contribute to sustainability and accessibility goals as integrated parts of how we work

If you can do all that, you have what it takes. It might help if…

  • 8 to 10+ years of business development experience, with a meaningful chunk of that in experiential, events, or activation agencies (think: events, b2c activations; sports experience is a plus but not required)
  • A genuine track record of self-developed opportunities versus just managing inbound, but creating pipeline from your own relationships and hustle
  • An existing network you can actually activate: brand-side contacts, EPs, industry relationships that translate to introductions and meetings
  • Comfort owning a pitch end-to-end - you know how to run a process, delegate strategically, and bring it over the line
  • A leadership style that's confident and calm, not loud; the kind of presence that earns trust in a room
  • Self-motivated and autonomous - you don't need a lot of hand-holding, and you wouldn't want it anyway
  • Familiarity with how AI tools are changing business development workflows
