GoMaterials is one of Canada's fastest-growing companies, recognized by Deloitte, the Globe & Mail, and the Lazaridis Scaleup Program. We’re revolutionizing how landscape contractors source plant and hardscape materials through a B2B marketplace that simplifies procurement in a traditionally outdated industry.
Since our inception, we have helped landscapers save time, money, and stress and plant over 1.5 million plants and trees. Led by a young and eager group of entrepreneurs, GoMaterials is aggressively expanding across North America. We are therefore looking for amazing people to add to our team!
About the role:
We’re looking for a driven and communicative Supplier Development Intern to join our supply chain team. If you thrive in a fast-paced startup environment and enjoy getting things done over the phone, this role is for you. This is an 8-month internship. You’ll support our supplier acquisition efforts by reaching out to landscaping suppliers across North America, helping us build and qualify our supplier network. You’ll gain hands-on experience in B2B outreach, procurement, and CRM management.
### What you'll do:
Supplier Acquisition & Qualification (70%)
Conduct outbound outreach (calls and emails) to prospective suppliers to acquire inventory lists and catalogs
Research and identify new supplier prospects across target regions
Qualify new supplier leads against GoMaterials’ standards for product fit, geography, and reliability
Manage the end-to-end supplier onboarding process, including qualification calls and documentation
Supplier Relationship Management (20%)
Maintain ongoing supplier relationships — follow up on open items, resolve friction, and drive partnership alignment
Process and organize incoming supplier catalogs and inventory updates per established SOPs
Manage the inventory inbox and triage supplier communications
Data & CRM Management (10%)
Keep the CRM current with accurate supplier contacts and business information
Fill and process customer request forms accurately
Coordinate with the Inventory Management team to hand off updated availability and flag data issues
Support process documentation and contribute to building institutional knowledge about the supplier network
### What you’ll bring:
Degree in business, supply chain, communications, or a related field (in progress)
Available to work full-time
Written and spoken proficiency in English
Comfortable making high-volume outbound calls and emails
Strong organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple supplier threads at once
Detail-oriented approach to data entry and CRM hygiene
Self-starter who can work through a list independently without constant direction
Comfortable with a fast-paced, ever-changing startup environment
### Nice to Have:

Prior internship or co-op experience in sales, procurement, or a related field
Familiarity with CRM tools (HubSpot preferred)
Exposure to B2B outreach or account coordination
