Application Engineer

Advanced Pump & Equipment is looking for an Applications Engineer (AE) to join the team! In this role the AE will work with outside sales personnel, field technicians, internal staff, and others to support owners, consulting engineers and contractors in the development and design of projects involving water and sewer collection/distribution, pumping, treatment, storage, and disposal.  

The position involves working closely with personnel within APE, partners, vendors, clients, regulators, etc. Must be able to work with a team through the entire timeline of a project, including the steps of quoting, ordering, construction planning, installation support, change orders, start-up services, troubleshooting, monitoring, reporting, etc.

3+ years of experience for a manufacturer or supplier of pumping or other fluid handling/treatment systems or in civil/mechanical/electrical engineering, civil construction, water/wastewater system operations

Familiarity with water/wastewater treatment processes and equipment, electrical controls, pumps, estimating, and/or sales is a nice to have

Bachelor's degree in an engineering or construction-related field desired, but not required if replaced by sufficient experience.  

Must be agile and proficient with general business software (e.g. NetSuite/Dynamics/Epicor ERP, Microsoft Office, Google Docs, Monday.com WM/CRM, Adobe Acrobat).

Experience in AutoCAD or SolidWorks is nice, but not required.
