About Pivotal Health
Pivotal Health is the leading technology platform that helps healthcare providers get paid fairly in an increasingly complex reimbursement landscape.
Today, many providers face persistent underpayment from health insurance companies, despite delivering high-quality care. While processes like IDR (Independent Dispute Resolution) were designed to promote fairness, they’re often administrative-heavy, time-consuming, and difficult to navigate without the right tools.
Pivotal Health combines software, data, and service into a seamlessly integrated, AI-driven platform that simplifies these complex reimbursement workflows. We help providers efficiently dispute underpaid claims, reduce administrative burden, and recover the reimbursement they’re entitled to; without adding more work to already stretched teams.
Our full-service IDR solution is just the starting point. We’re building solutions that enable providers to operate with clarity, control, and confidence across the reimbursement journey.
About the Role
This is an opportunity for a strategic, high-impact Senior HR Business Partner to play a critical role in shaping how Pivotal Health will scale. We’re looking for someone who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys building from the ground up, and wants a true seat at the table partnering closely with leadership on organizational strategy, talent, performance, engagement, and culture. This is far more than a traditional HR support role; you’ll influence key business decisions, build scalable people programs, guide leaders through growth and change, and help create the infrastructure needed for the next stage of the company’s evolution. The ideal candidate brings deep HRBP experience within high-growth environments, strong business acumen, and the confidence to challenge thinking, drive alignment, and lead proactively in a fast-paced, evolving organization.
What You’ll Do
Partner closely with leadership and people managers to provide strategic HR guidance across organizational design, talent strategy, performance management, employee engagement, and team effectiveness
Build and scale people programs, processes, and infrastructure that support a rapidly growing organization
Lead and evolve performance management initiatives, ensuring processes are scalable, effective, and aligned to company goals and culture
Support organizational planning efforts including workforce planning, leveling, compensation philosophy, and change management initiatives
Partner cross-functionally with leadership and teams across the business to improve employee experience, manager effectiveness, and organizational health
Help navigate periods of rapid growth, restructuring, and organizational change with a thoughtful, business-minded approach
Drive culture and engagement initiatives that strengthen collaboration, accountability, and employee retention
Who You Are
7+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 3+ years in a true HR Business Partner capacity supporting leaders and organizations at scale
Experience operating within high-growth, scaling environments such as Series A/B+ startups or similarly fast-paced companies
Proven ability to build and implement people programs, processes, and infrastructure from the ground up
Strong executive presence with the ability to influence, challenge, and partner credibly with senior leaders, including VPs and Directors
Demonstrated ability to drive decision-making using people data and organizational insights, including metrics related to attrition, engagement, headcount, and performance
Broad HRBP expertise across the employee lifecycle, including talent management, organizational design, performance management, compensation philosophy, employee relations, and workforce planning
Ability to operate independently in ambiguous environments while balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution
Strong business acumen and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with a focus on scalability and long-term organizational health
Extra Credit Experience
Experience supporting teams within high-growth startup environments and navigating rapid organizational scaling
Background in healthcare, healthtech, or highly regulated/compliance-driven industries
Prior people management experience, including mentoring or leading HR team members
