Associate Veterinarian (Multiple openings):
- Complete, in a timely and accurate manner, all scheduled appointments, drop-off appointments, walk-in appointments, surgeries, treat and address wounds, dental surgeries, including monitoring the administration of anesthesia with the help of the Veterinary Technician (VT) team for all assigned patients.
- Aid in the admission and discharge of patients by communicating with clients through client education, both written and verbal, on all topics related to pet care, including but not limited to proper wound care, wellness protocols, illness, medication dosages and use, and expectations following surgery.
- Effectively administer proper patient triage protocols based on client and facilities needs and capabilities in a timely and effective manner.
- During exams, educate clients on wellness, preventative care, diagnostic approaches, treatment options, medications and surgeries with confidence and poise.
- Demonstrate proficiency in performing all common diagnostic procedures such as radiographs, ultrasound, clinical pathology, and physical exam.
- Manage client communications regarding diagnosis and treatment of patients in a timely manner according to CityVet policies and procedures.
- Follow all policies, protocols, and standards of care as outlined by the CityVet Clinicians’ Council and Home Office. Prepare and present treatment options and estimated costs to clients and ensure proper invoicing of delivered services and products once completed.
- Maintain current license to practice and DEA registration and adhere to all legal and ethical requirements to maintain that good standing (including any and all CE requirements).
- Work with the Partner/Lead Veterinarian and facility team to resolve customer complaints and arrive at appropriate resolutions in a timely and effective manner.
- Support the Veterinary Technician (VT) Team and facility staff as needed and maintain a positive and cooperative relationship with all CityVet team members.
- Preserve the security and safety of all clients, animals, team members, client information, facility and facility equipment by monitoring and correcting any unsafe conditions within the capabilities available.
- Maintain the highest standards of personal and professional appearance, cleanliness, sanitation, and presentation according to CityVet policies and procedures.
- Maintain quality control of operations, client care, client service, and client records during scheduled shifts. Complete all tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
- Minimum Education Requirements: Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine, or foreign equivalent, and valid Colorado state veterinarian license.
- Required Occupation Experience: One (1) year of related work experience. Any suitable combination of education, experience, and training will be accepted.
