SALES / EXPORT CLERK

The right individual will be responsible for activities such as liaising with customers, taking phone calls, collecting order information, checking shipping details and inventory, and making sure requested items accurately entered into production system. Working with USDA to get product inspected for Export along with Export documentation for country.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Develop and execute working relationships with current customers and support staff.

·         Know and understand production and shipping capabilities.  

·         Demonstrate good professional communication skills including sending emails and speaking over the phone.

·         Review new customer orders/EDIs or requests and manually entered data into a centralized database such as Carlisle, SPS Commerce and other sales of E-commerce software.

·         Completed Export documentation in compliance with shipping instructions and Export requirements

·         Communicate with appropriate internal/external customers, including trading desks, loading facilities, freight forwarders, brokers, vendors, USDA and customers

·         Create, assemble and present applicable export documentation required per country specific destination in accordance with USDA requirements. Submit timely document instruction to shipping and USDA.

·         Manually key shipments, assign truck numbers and schedule delivery appointments via phone, email and online logistic sites.

·         Keep records of needed info such as prices, product codes, warehouse receiving hours, important numbers, orders, changes, delivery dates and times etc.

·         Work with sales manager to ensure orders and customer services issues are handled according to Prestage Foods Inc, policies.

·         Communicate all delays due to weather and carrier schedule changes to customers and supervisors.

·         Act as a liaison between logistics, carriers and customers.

Requirements

·         High school degree or equivalent.

·         Computer skills with working knowledge of Excel.

·         Capable of working under pressure and able to meet deadlines.

·         Strong customer solution approach and problem-solving skills.

·         Well organized, energetic and good communication skills.

·         Work weekends if necessary

Bilingual is a plus but not necesary
