At Too Good To Go, we have an ambitious goal: to inspire and empower everyone to fight food waste together 🌍. Currently, 40% of all food produced is wasted. This has a huge impact on people and the planet, with 10% of greenhouse gas emissions coming from food waste!
📲 You probably know us from our app, where we offer surplus food and drinks from supermarkets, restaurants, suppliers, cafés, bakeries, hotels, and speciality stores to our users. Alongside our marketplace app, we explore new business solutions such as direct delivery to consumers, saving waste outside the food category, developing SaaS waste solutions, and influencing legislation to help reduce food waste. Worldwide, we have already saved >500 million meals — preventing over 1 million tonnes of CO2e emissions. A huge impact!
We are a proud B Corp social impact organisation founded in Denmark in 2015, and are now active in 20 countries. We launched in the Netherlands in 2018, and our Dutch team has since grown to more than 60 “Waste Warriors.” With more than 5 million app downloads and around 13,000 partners in the Netherlands, we are contributing to our goal of creating a world without food waste. We have also been named the most inspiring organisation in the Netherlands for the fifth time in a row!
Your mission:
You will play a crucial role in the growth of Too Good To Go Netherlands and in the fight against food waste. You will use your experience in retail and account management to build strong relationships and drive new growth initiatives with our partners. We are continuously working to increase relevance for our partners through both our existing and new solutions.
You will report to the Key Account Retail Lead and your team is supported by a Key Account Store Operations Specialist. You will be responsible for a portfolio of large and medium-sized partners, with stakeholders from head office to shop floor. You are eager to improve our partnerships by optimising offerings with partners, enhancing the in-store customer experience, and saving as much food from waste as possible. You get energy from creating plans and executing them. Your mission is to create more impact!
Your role:
- You are fully responsible for strengthening relationships within your customer portfolio, engaging stakeholders at both Head Office (C-level) and store level.
- You drive the acquisition of new potential partners, across both the food and non-food sectors.
- You create data-driven annual plans, business cases and pilot proposals, turning them into actions that help partners grow and reduce waste.
- You proactively visit stores and understand the challenges on the shop floor better than anyone. You translate these insights to conversations at partner head offices.
- You monitor progress against KPIs and make adjustments where needed.
- You support our partners in collaborating effectively with Too Good To Go and achieving goals. This means you won’t hesitate to pick up the phone, provide training, onboard new stores, and improve processes.
- You share best practices with the team to improve ways of working.
- Together with our marketing, growth and sales teams, you develop initiatives to help stores save more food or onboard new stores.
