We are looking for a Founding Finance Manager to join our team in Berlin and work directly with our founder and CEO Lea on building Kuro’s financial and operational backbone from the ground up. You will bring structure to core finance operations, improve financial processes and reporting, and help build scalable systems that support the company’s growth from day one.

The Opportunity
As Founding Finance Manager, you'll work directly with Kuro’s founder and CEO in a high-ownership role at the intersection of finance, operations, and strategy. You will bring structure and clarity to Kuro’s core finance operations — including investor reporting, budgeting cycles, invoicing workflows, and revenue operations — while building scalable systems and automations that support the company’s growth.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys turning complexity into structure and wants to have direct impact in an early-stage environment. You’ll thrive in fast-moving environments, combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution, and bring a pragmatic, data-driven mindset to solving operational and financial challenges.
What You'll Do
Set up and own monthly investor reporting and financial reporting structures
Lead monthly budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning cycles
Own invoicing, billing, and related operational finance workflows, bringing structure and scalability to currently manual processes
Design and improve revenue operations processes, including tracking of platform and consumption-based pricing
Own monthly accounting, payroll, and related operational finance topics
Build scalable and automated finance workflows, systems, and internal reporting processes
Collaborate closely with leadership on strategic finance, business operations, and company planning topics
Support additional operational initiatives across the company as the business grows
Your profile
4+ years of experience in a finance role within a B2B SaaS startup environment
Proven experience setting up financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and operational finance processes
Experience owning or improving invoicing, billing, and revenue operations workflows
Strong analytical and structured way of working, with attention to detail and operational excellence
Data-driven mindset with an interest in building scalable systems, automations, and reporting structures
Ability to operate independently in fast-paced and ambiguous environments with high ownership
Entrepreneurial and hands-on mentality with a willingness to build processes from scratch
Fluent in German and English
