Multiple Openings: We are hiring multiple people across data center vendor and energy strategy workstreams. Exact level, scope, and team placement may vary based on experience and business needs.

AI Foundry is an AI building and consulting business working with some of the largest companies in the world. AI Foundry is partnered with a major global company operating across finance, consumer, and retail verticals, leading their AI efforts from the ground up.

The team is seeking builders who want to be part of something massive: designing and building multi-agent AI systems that will reshape how hundreds of millions of people interact with financial services, retail, insurance, and consumer products.

AI Foundry is looking for a Data Center Vendor & Energy Strategy Lead to support large-scale data center and AI infrastructure work. This role will help evaluate vendors, energy options, infrastructure tradeoffs, commercial terms, timelines, and risks for a major AI compute buildout.

If you can connect technical infrastructure needs with vendor strategy, energy realities, and commercial execution, we want to hear from you.

What You'll Do

  • Develop vendor and energy strategy for AI infrastructure and data center buildout work.
  • Evaluate suppliers, OEMs, integrators, energy providers, facilities partners, and infrastructure vendors.
  • Analyze commercial terms, timelines, capacity, technical fit, delivery risk, and long-term operating implications.
  • Work closely with infrastructure, facilities, finance, legal, operations, and leadership teams.
  • Create decision-ready comparisons, recommendations, negotiation briefs, and risk assessments.
  • Support vendor selection, commercial negotiations, contract scoping, and implementation planning.
  • Track market dynamics across GPUs, power, cooling, data center capacity, supply chain constraints, and energy procurement.
  • Challenge vendor narratives when claims do not hold up technically, commercially, or operationally.
  • Travel to India 8+ times per year to work directly with infrastructure, vendor, and client teams.

Who You Are

  • You have experience in vendor strategy, infrastructure procurement, energy strategy, data centers, cloud infrastructure, or technical commercial operations.
  • You can evaluate vendors with both business judgment and technical curiosity.
  • You understand how power, cooling, capacity, equipment lead times, and commercial terms affect AI infrastructure execution.
  • You are strong analytically and can turn messy inputs into clear recommendations.
  • You communicate clearly with technical teams, executives, vendors, finance, and legal stakeholders.
  • You are comfortable negotiating, challenging assumptions, and asking precise questions.
  • You can manage complex dependencies and keep decision processes moving.
  • You are practical, direct, and comfortable with ambiguity.
  • You are energized by helping build infrastructure at a scale where vendor and energy decisions materially matter.

How We Work

We are looking for people who use AI to raise the speed, quality, and ambition of the work while staying grounded in customers, teammates, and measurable outcomes.

  • We are hands-on with AI and technical tools, and we make ideas tangible through prototypes, clear artifacts, and working systems.
  • We move quickly, share work early, and keep refining until the product experience feels useful, polished, and memorable.
  • We focus on the hardest problems and the outcomes that matter, with the judgment to change course when the evidence points somewhere better.
  • We communicate clearly enough that teammates, leaders, and AI-assisted workflows can act on our thinking across time zones.
  • We collaborate with openness and respect, build on other people's ideas, and treat shared ownership as part of doing excellent work.
  • We speak up directly and constructively when something looks wrong, then commit fully once a decision is made.

  • Medical and Dental benefits
  • 401K
  • Opportunity to shape AI strategy for 500M+ users
