The Driver position starts at $18 per hour and progresses to $20 per hour

OFFERING PAID CREDENTIALS- Eliminating upfront costs for necessary clearances & TB screening!

SUMMARY:

  • Hours are 7am-9am and/or 3pm-5pm 
    • Depending on the route, start time might be later than 7:00 and end time might be earlier than 5:00
  • 7am-9am immediate need is Monday, Tuesday and Thursday morning with potential for 5 days
  • 3pm-5pm immediate need 5/days week

PRIMARY RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Passenger Assistance: Help passengers with boarding, exiting, securing wheelchairs/scooters, and using vehicle lifts/ramps.
  • Safe Operation: Drive courteously, follow traffic laws, adhere to schedules, and maintain a calm, reassuring presence.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform daily pre/post-trip inspections (gas, oil, tires) and report needed repairs.
  • Documentation: Complete trip logs, mileage reports, safety inspections, and incident reports.
  • Communication: Coordinate with caregivers, dispatch, or medical professionals and report passenger needs or issues.
  • Vehicle Upkeep: Keep the vehicle clean, fueled, and ensure accessibility features are working. 

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid driver's license
  • Physical ability to safely lift 50+ pounds

CREDENTIALING REQUIREMENTS:

(Clearances & physical must be current within 12 months, TB must be current within 3 months)

  • PA Child Abuse (Act 151) Clearance
  • PA Criminal (Act 34) Clearance
  • PA Department of Human Services (DHS) Federal Criminal History Report
  • TB Screening
  • Physical examination
  • Education Documentation - Diploma OR Official Transcripts
  • Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) - 3 year driver history
