- You’ll manage daily construction administration activities including RFIs, submittals, pay applications, change orders, schedule reviews, and project documentation; serve as the primary operational point of contact for the contractor and agency staff on day-to-day matters.
- You’ll lead field oversight and inspection operations; direct inspection staff and ensure daily reports are prepared and delivered in full compliance with client requirements, and perform field inspections and site walks to verify compliance with approved plans and specifications; identify non-compliant work and coordinate corrective actions.
- You’ll coordinate construction activities with contractors, utility providers, city staff, and community stakeholders; maintain effective working relationships across all project participants.
- You’ll monitor and enforce contractor compliance with contract documents, safety regulations, environmental requirements, and public agency standards.
- You’ll review construction plans, specifications, and project changes for constructability and practical field conditions; escalate risk and disputes to the project CM IV.
- You’ll lead or actively participate in project coordination meetings; manage meeting documentation and action item tracking.
- You’ll monitor contractor staffing, equipment utilization, schedule progress, and overall project effectiveness; report concerns and recommend corrective actions and assist with contractor payment review and recommend adjustments; provide documentation support for CM IV approval.
- You’ll coordinate construction phasing and traffic control within active public environments and ensure all field changes and modifications are accurately documented on record drawings.
- You’ll communicate proactively with agency staff, contractors, utility agencies, residents, and the public; escalate critical issues, delays, safety concerns, and stakeholder impacts to the CM IV immediately.
- You’ll support multiple concurrent project assignments as needed and perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Onsite at client site: The work location for this role is onsite with our clients and partners to enable delivery and cultivate our client relationships.

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Urban Planning, or related field or 4 additional years of qualifying experience in lieu of degree.
- Minimum 8 years of construction management experience on municipal and/or public infrastructure projects, including at least 1 year supervising or inspecting engineering construction work.
- Demonstrated delivery of CM services on projects within Orange County, supported by verifiable references from Orange County public agencies or municipalities.
- Proven experience managing municipal roadway/street improvement projects (including sewer, water, storm drain, and dry utilities) and/or public vertical facilities (e.g., parks, libraries, fire stations, community facilities).
