We are looking for a Middle Full-stack Engineer to join the Financial Statement Suite team at DataSnipper. FSS is on a mission to make financial statement review error-free, fast, and intelligent for over 500,000 auditors worldwide.
You will work across the stack, C#/.NET on the server side, TypeScript/React on the front end, and Python for AI-powered services, building features that auditors trust with their most critical work.
This is a delivery-focused role for an engineer who is excited to grow in a team that ships fast, holds a high quality bar, and uses AI to accelerate development. You will work closely with senior engineers, product, design partners to deliver production-ready features end-to-end..
About DataSnipper:
Audit and finance are still massively manual — and we’re changing that.
DataSnipper is a $1B, bootstrapped unicorn with 600,000+ users across 180+ countries, already embedded in the daily workflows of top audit and accounting firms. Now, we’re taking things further with our Excel Agent — bringing AI directly into where the work actually happens.
Unlike generic AI tools, we don’t sit on the sidelines. Our AI operates inside Excel, with access to real documents and audit evidence — meaning it doesn’t just generate answers, it does the work, with full traceability.
We’re not just applying AI — we’re redefining how audit gets done. If you want to build something category-defining at scale, this is the place.
What you will do:
Build and maintain production APIs and services in C# / .NET, TypeScript, and Python that power financial reports validation workflows.
Develop AI-powered agents and workflows that automate the validation of financial reports, integrating LLMs and document understanding pipelines.
Contribute to the React web front end
Integrate with Azure and its AI services
Implement security controls aligned with OWASP and OWASP GenAI security guidance
Write robust, well-tested, production-ready code, unit, integration, and end-to-end tests are part of the deliverable, not an afterthought.
Participate in code reviews as both author and reviewer, help maintain coding standards and design patterns across the team.
Participate in the on-call rotation
Use AI-assisted engineering effectively and responsibly, critically evaluating AI output.
Partner with product managers, designers, ML engineers, and QA to refine requirements, surface edge cases, and ship features
Break down stories, estimate work realistically, and deliver against sprint commitments with limited supervision.
Contribute to technical design discussions, propose pragmatic solutions and challenge assumptions when it helps the team.
What you bring:
Minimum of 3 years of experience building applications using a modern backend stack
Proficiency with AI-assisted engineering tools
Experience with C# is required. Experience wit Python is a preferred
Hands-on experience with TypeScript and a modern front-end framework
Experience with Azure and Docker is required

Passionate about high-quality coding standards and testing of code
Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work effectively in an ever-changing scale-up environment

Nice-to-Have:
Experience building or integrating with AI agentic applications in production (LLM orchestration, RAG, evals, prompt engineering).
Experience with document processing (OCR, PDF extraction, Azure Document Intelligence, layout parsing).
Domain experience in audit, accounting, or fintech.
