Finance & Risk Internship

About the role

At SkyNRG, finance plays a critical role in enabling growth, supporting complex projects and ensuring we scale responsibly while accelerating the transition to sustainable aviation. As a Finance Intern, you will support the Finance team in day‑to‑day financial operations and reporting, while gaining hands‑on experience in a scale-up environment.

During this internship, you will work closely with experienced finance professionals and collaborate with teams across the business. You will contribute to improving financial processes, supporting reporting and compliance activities, and helping ensure accurate and timely financial information. This role offers exposure to both operational accounting and business-facing finance in a purpose‑driven organization.

Your Responsibilities:

• Financial operations: Support daily finance activities, including reviewing bookings, assisting with month-end task,s and helping ensure financial data is complete and accurate.

• Month end support: Assist in the preparation of the monthly financial closing process by supporting reconciliations, checks, and documentation under guidance of the Finance team.

• Reporting support: Help prepare consolidated financial reports and support schedules using finance tools such as Lucanet and Excel.

• Controls & processes: Support the implementation and documentation of financial policies, accounting procedures and internal controls to strengthen finance operations.

• Audit & compliance support: Assist with preparations for the annual audit and help ensure documentation is in place to support compliance with Dutch GAAP, VAT, and corporate requirements.

• Tool & system support: Contribute to the selection, testing, or rollout of finance tools and process improvements, such as invoice approval of workflows or automation initiatives.

• Cross‑team collaboration: Work closely with colleagues across Finance, Legal, HR, Commercial and Project teams on finance-related topics and ad hoc support tasks.

Your profile

You recognize yourself in the following:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s student in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (enrolled for the full duration of the internship)

• Strong interest in accounting, financial control, and business operations

• Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Comfortable working with Excel; interest in learning finance systems such as Exact Online or Lucanet

• Professional level of English, both written and spoken

• Proactive, curious, and eager to learn in a dynamic environment

• Well organized and able to handle confidential information with care

• Full‑time availability for a 6-month internship from September 2026

• Strong interest in sustainability
