About the role

We're looking for an experienced Talent Acquisition Partner to join DISCO part-time (25 hours per week over 4 or 5 days) and help us build a hiring function that is thoughtful, consistent, and genuinely high quality.

Reporting to our Chief People Officer, you'll recruit for positions in the US, Australia, and the UK, so some flexibility in working hours to suit those time zones is required.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys end-to-end recruitment but also wants to genuinely own and develop recruitment practices at a start-up/scale-up company. You'll partner closely with hiring managers across the business, and work alongside senior leadership as a trusted hiring partner, helping shape how roles are defined and how decisions get made.

Beyond the day-to-day, you'll help shape how DISCO shows up as an employer. That means refining our employer value proposition, strengthening candidate-facing content, building proactive talent pools, and working with our Marketing team to make sure the right people know who we are and why the work matters.

This role is a great fit for someone who is organised, commercially minded, and thrives with autonomy. You'll be joining a small, global team where every hire counts, and where great recruitment genuinely moves the business forward.

What you’ll do

Own end-to-end recruitment

You’ll partner with hiring managers from role briefing through to offer, including intake, sourcing, screening, interview coordination, candidate communication, feedback collection, and offer support.

Build talent pools for priority roles

You’ll proactively identify and engage strong potential candidates before roles are open, using LinkedIn, networking, referrals, market mapping, job boards, communities, and other creative channels. You’ll be comfortable finding great people rather than waiting for applications, and you’ll help build strong talent pools for priority roles.

Build better hiring processes

You’ll help create and improve job descriptions, role briefs, scorecards, interview guides, structured interview plans, assessment steps, and debrief processes, so our hiring decisions are clearer, fairer, and more consistent.

Coach and support hiring managers

You’ll help hiring managers define what they need, assess candidates properly, run better interviews, give useful feedback, and make confident hiring decisions.

Improve candidate experience

You’ll make sure candidates experience DISCO as thoughtful, responsive and clear at every stage of the process. Additionally, you’ll coach and train members of hiring teams in effective recruitment techniques to ensure a seamless candidate experience.

Use data to improve hiring

You’ll track and report on the data that matters, including pipeline health, source quality, conversion rates, time-to-hire, candidate drop-off, and hiring manager feedback. You’ll use this information to spot issues and recommend practical improvements.

Help shape how DISCO shows up as an employer

You’ll write job ads, outreach messaging, hiring content, and contribute employer brand ideas that help the right candidates understand who we are and why the work matters.

What we’re looking for

You’ll bring:

  • 5+ years of experience working in internal recruitment/talent acquisition for a SaaS/tech start-up/scale-up
  • Experience managing end-to-end recruitment processes.
  • Experience hiring across a mix of functions, such as Product, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, Operations, or People.
  • Strong sourcing skills and an understanding of how to identify and engage passive candidates.
  • Experience partnering closely with hiring managers/senior stakeholders through end-to-end recruitment processes.
  • A practical understanding of structured hiring, including scorecards, interview guides, role briefs, candidate assessments, and debriefs.
  • A working understanding of fair hiring practices and requirements.
  • Experience working on employer value propositions and candidate-facing content.
  • Good judgment when assessing candidates, including the ability to look beyond keywords and understand what great looks like for a role.
  • Strong written communication skills, including the ability to write clear job ads and candidate outreach.
  • Strong attention to detail and confidence managing multiple roles or workflows at once.
  • A continuous improvement mindset. You like making things clearer, faster, and better.
  • Experience using an ATS, such as Workable, Greenhouse, Lever or similar.
  • Comfort working independently in a remote, globally distributed team.
  • Comfort using AI tools thoughtfully to support sourcing, research, note-taking, drafting, or process improvement.

Nice to have

  • Experience hiring for the music tech industry and/or a start-up or scale-up
  • Experience with global or cross-border hiring, especially in Australia, the UK and USA.
  • Experience using LinkedIn job slots and/or Recruiter
  • Experience improving an ATS, reporting, hiring workflows, or recruiting operations.
  • Experience supporting onboarding or broader People programs.

Benefits
