About us

Ankorstore exists to help independent brands and retailers thrive by making wholesale simpler, faster, and more profitable.

We’re building the infrastructure that powers modern wholesale for brands — from getting discovered by the right retailers to ordering, logistics, and financing — so both sides can work together on better, more sustainable terms.

The Lead Data Platform is a pivotal leadership role responsible for the architecture, reliability, and strategic direction of our data infrastructure.

You will lead a hybrid team of Data Engineers and Analytics Engineers to build a world-class Modern Data Stack. Your mission is to bridge the gap between raw infrastructure and business intelligence, ensuring that data is not only ingested and transformed efficiently via BigQuery, Airflow, and dbt, but also made actionable through advanced visualization in Sigma Computing and product insights in Amplitude.

Main Responsibilities :

  • Team Leadership: Recruit, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of Data Engineers and Analytics Engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous delivery.

  • Platform Architecture: Own the end-to-end data lifecycle, from ingestion and orchestration (Airflow) to storage (BigQuery) and modeling (DBT).

  • Data Democratization: Drive the adoption of Sigma Computing (BI) and Amplitude (Product Analytics), ensuring stakeholders have self-serve access to clean, reliable data. Partner with Product, Engineering, and Finance to ensure analytics needs are supported.

  • Strategy & Roadmap: Define the technical vision for the data platform, aligning infrastructure investments with company-wide business objectives.

  • Governance & Quality: Implement rigorous data quality frameworks, observability, and security protocols to ensure the integrity and privacy of all data assets.

Preferred Experience :

  • 6+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Analytics Engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management capacity.

  • Expert-level proficiency in SQL and Python.

  • Hands-on experience building and scaling data warehouses on Google BigQuery.

  • Proven track record of deploying and managing DBT at scale.

  • Experience migrating from traditional BI tools (Tableau/Looker) to modern cloud-native solutions like Sigma.

  • Deep understanding of Product Analytics implementation and event-tracking strategy (Amplitude/Mixpanel).

  • Experience working in a high-growth startup environment (Scale-up).

  • Proficiency with Terraform or Pulumi to manage and scale GCP resources and data infrastructure.

  • Expertise in designing Star Schemas and Activity Schemas optimized for BigQuery performance and Sigma Computing’s join-heavy interface.

  • Ability to translate complex business definitions (LTV, MRR, Attribution) into scalable code and standardized metrics.

Benefits/Perks :

At Ankorstore we offer a versatile range of benefits to support employees' well-being and work-life balance, fostering personal growth within an innovative and adaptable work environment.

  • All of our employees are automatically covered by Health Insurance & Life Insurance. Our Health Insurance (Mutuelle) and Life Insurance (Prévoyance) are SideCare
