About The Role
We’re on the lookout for a passionate Chef to become a vital part of our kitchen brigade as we dive into our 7-day cruising weeks! We have an average of 20-30 hours per week for this casual role.
As our Chef, you’ll be primarily working on our stunning marine vessel, leading the charge in end-to-end kitchen operations. You will direct the food preparation process, ensuring our guests indulge in only the highest quality dishes during our unforgettable lunch and dinner cruises. Get ready to roll up your sleeves as you prepare and cook mouth-watering meals, while also ensuring our kitchen meets all hygiene and food safety regulations.
Your standard working day may see you working up to 10 hours between 7:00am - 11:00pm across all seven days of the week, including weekends and public holidays. Each shift will commence and conclude at Stokes Hill Wharf in Darwin, providing a beautiful backdrop to your culinary creations.

Requirements
About You
- A Commercial Cookery Certificate (essential)
- Experience in a similar Chef role (minimum 3 years’ experience preferred)
- Food Safety Supervisor course (essential – we can help you out with this one!)
- Demonstrated experience producing high-quality food unsupervised, with knowledge of all sections
- Strong communication skills with the ability to control and direct food preparation process
- Exceptional attention to detail to ensure all dishes are up to standard
- Leadership skills with the ability to coach and mentor a small team
- Entitlement to work in Australia with no restrictions
- Must not be affected by sea sickness
