We are currently hiring for Chania, looking for a highly energetic and passionate Pastry Chef De Partie, joining our team at All-Inclusive Chania’s Best Ultra All-inclusive 5-star Resort | Aulūs, for the 2026 season.

Pastry Chef De Partie

The Role:

The Pastry Chef De Partie at Domes Resorts is an expert in the art and science of baking and dessert creation. From making perfect pastries, cakes, and chocolates to designing visually stunning plated desserts, the Pastry Chef is integral to delivering a memorable dining experience. This role possesses both creative and technical culinary skills, and the expertise extends to managing a kitchen station, training staff, maintaining inventory, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety in the kitchen.

 

Some of the responsibilities:

Pastry & Bakery Production

·        Produce daily and seasonal dessert menus, complementing culinary offerings and meeting customer preferences, always maintaining the highest quality standards.

·        Oversee all aspects of pastry production, including baking, decorating, and plating desserts, pastries, and baked goods according to established recipes and standards.

·        Maintain strict quality control standards to ensure consistency, freshness, and flavor excellence in all pastry creations. Conduct regular tastings and inspections to uphold the highest standards of quality and presentation.

Inventory & Cost Control

·        Monitor inventory levels of pastry ingredients and supplies, and coordinate with Executive Chef, Sous Chef and suppliers to ensure timely replenishment. Minimize waste and maximize efficiency in ingredient usage.

·        Manage pastry inventory, monitor ingredient stock levels, and place orders as needed.

·        Work closely with purchasing department to source high-quality ingredients at competitive prices.

Team Support & Training

·        Supervise pastry kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient operations during service hours.

·        Delegate tasks effectively and provide guidance and training as needed.

·        Ensure that staffing levels are maintained to cover business demands.

Food Safety & Hygiene

·        Enforce strict sanitation and hygiene practices in the pastry kitchen, including equipment maintenance, cleaning schedules, and compliance with health regulations.

·        Implement proper food handling procedures to prevent contamination and ensure food safety.

Requirements

Useful to have:

·        Culinary degree or equivalent certification from a recognized culinary institution.

·        Thorough knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation regulations, and kitchen procedures.

·        Minimum of 5 years of experience in a pastry chef role, preferably in a high-volume or fine dining environment.

·        Strong knowledge of baking techniques, dessert presentation, and flavor profiles.

·        Food knowledge of the English language,

·        Good knowledge of MS Office.

·        The ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

·        Excellent planning and organizational skills required for inventory management, menu planning & recipe standardization.

·        Ability to build relationships, internally and externally, in the kitchen and between the kitchen and other departments.

·        Effective communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.

·        Precision & strong attention to detail for ensuring consistency across every batch of dough, filling, or glaze.

·        A creative mindset is required to transform desserts into visually appealing pastries.
