Anaplan is seeking a strategic, influential Principal Product Manager to own the methodology for our application ecosystem. This is a thought-leadership role focused on defining the "right way" to build on Anaplan, ensuring that all applications are configurable, upgradable, and seamlessly connected.
You will be responsible for creating the strategy and leading the cross-functional execution for how applications must be built. You will work to align product, engineering, and customer-facing teams on a unified set of best practices that drive scalability and long-term value for our customers. The ideal candidate is a master Anaplaner and strategic thinker who can evangelize a clear vision and influence teams across the organization to adopt it.

Your Impact

  • Define the Strategy: Create, own, and evangelize the strategic methodology for building robust, scalable, and connected applications on the Anaplan platform.
  • Establish Best Practices: Author and govern the official best practices for application architecture, serving as the ultimate authority on how to implement configurable and upgradable solutions.
  • Lead Through Influence: Lead large, cross-functional initiatives to embed the application methodology into our product development lifecycle, field practices, and partner ecosystem.
  • Align the Organization: Partner with and align leaders across product, engineering, professional services, and customer success to ensure the methodology is understood, adopted, and consistently applied.
  • Be the Expert: Act as the company's foremost expert on application architecture and methodology, providing guidance, authoring whitepapers, and presenting at key internal and external events.
  • Drive Product Requirements: Translate the strategic methodology into actionable product requirements for the Application Framework teams to ensure the platform itself supports and encourages best-practice adoption.

Your Qualifications

  • Master Anaplan Expertise: Recognized as an expert in Anaplan model building and application architecture. You have designed and built large, complex, and scalable Anaplan solutions.
  • Architectural and Strategic Thinking: Demonstrated ability to think strategically about platform architecture, methodologies, and the long-term implications of design decisions.
  • Proven Influence: A history of successfully leading through influence, aligning disparate teams around a central vision without direct authority.
  • World-Class Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to create compelling narratives and confidently present to both executive and technical audiences.
  • Deep EPM Knowledge: Extensive experience in the Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) domain and a sophisticated understanding of customer needs in this space.
  • Collaborative and Driven: A self-starter with a passion for driving excellence and a collaborative approach to solving complex, ecosystem-wide challenges.
