Navarro Research & Engineering is recruiting a GSFC Hazardous Waste Coordinator (3846)at Goddard Space Flight Center (Greenbelt, MD).

The Hazardous Waste Coordinator is responsible for managing regulated and hazardous waste programs in compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations across multiple geographically dispersed sites.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage hazardous and regulated waste activities in accordance with 40 CFR Parts 260–268 and Part 279
  • Oversee used oil and hazardous waste generator requirements
  • Coordinate waste profiling, approvals, and off-site waste shipment activities
  • Perform and manage self lab-pack operations
  • Remotely manage waste generation activities at multiple locations
  • Evaluate real and personal property for environmental liabilities and materials of concern
  • Support material reclamation and precious metals recovery compliance
  • Implement and manage hazardous materials and waste information systems
  • Ensure cradle-to-grave waste tracking and documentation

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Environmental Science or Environmental Management
  • Experience with:
    • 40 CFR Parts 260–268 and Part 279
    • Hazardous Waste Management Systems
    • Land Disposal Restrictions
    • Transportation and off-site disposal coordination

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting federal facilities or multi-site waste programs
  • Experience with waste information systems implementation across varied work environments
