Maintenance Technician II, Mid-Shift Weekends

The shift for this position is Wednesday-Sunday, 4:00pm-12:30am with overtime or weekends as needed.
The Maintenance Technician II performs skilled maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of food production and facility equipment, including reactive maintenance and breakdown support. This role requires knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and automation systems and the ability to work independently with limited supervision. The ideal candidate is proactive, safety-focused, and committed to ensuring equipment reliability in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
What You’ll Do:
Troubleshoot and repair equipment breakdowns, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
Perform intermediate-level maintenance tasks, including installation, adjustment, and calibration of machinery and control devices.
Work with PLCs, sensors, and motor controls; support automation troubleshooting.
Perform basic fabrication and welding tasks as required.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
Assist with parts inventory management and coordination with vendors.
Train, mentor, and support Maintenance Technician I team members.
Ensure strict compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), food safety standards, and California OSHA regulations.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Other duties as assigned and necessary.
What You’ll Need:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school preferred.
2–5 years of industrial maintenance experience, ideally in food or beverage manufacturing.
Proficient with hand and power tools, blueprints, and schematics.
Understanding of electrical safety, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, and sanitary design principles.
Basic understanding of PLCs, sensors, and motor controls.
Strong computer skills; experience with SAP and Microsoft Office applications preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to bend, stoop, climb ladders, and stand/walk for extended periods.
Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including hot, cold, and wet areas.
Work Environment:
This position operates in a food manufacturing facility where exposure to noise, temperature changes, wet floors, and moving mechanical parts may occur. All work must be performed in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and company food safety standards.

The pay rate for this position is $22.00/hour - $28.00/hour. This role is eligible for overtime pay.
