Quantum Space is redefining mobility and autonomy beyond Earth orbit. Our Ranger spacecraft deliver high delta-V and sustained on-orbit maneuverability, enabling missions across cislunar and geostationary space that were previously out of reach. We are building the vehicles, infrastructure, and operational expertise that connect and protect assets across the Earth–Moon system.

Who We’re Looking For

Quantum Space is seeking a Facilities Manager to own the operation, reliability, and expansion of our engineering and test facilities. This role is critical to enabling hardware development, integration, and test by ensuring infrastructure is robust, safe, and scalable.

Where You’ll Make an Impact

  • Own facility operations: HVAC, electrical, compressed gases, vacuum infrastructure, and general utilities
  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements (OSHA, NFPA, local codes)
  • Plan and execute facility upgrades to support spacecraft development and test
  • Coordinate infrastructure needs with engineering teams (power, cooling, vacuum, test setups)
  • Manage vendors and contractors for maintenance, repairs, and capital projects
  • Develop and manage maintenance programs and facility reliability plans
  • Support lab buildouts, test stand installation, and infrastructure integration
  • Manage budgets, schedules, and project execution for facility improvements

What It Takes

  • BS in Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5–10+ years managing technical facilities (lab, aerospace, manufacturing, or similar)
  • Strong knowledge of building systems and infrastructure
  • Experience with contractor/vendor management
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Work location within the LA area

Nice-to-Have Experience

  • Experience supporting aerospace or test facilities
  • Familiarity with vacuum systems, cleanrooms, or specialized labs
  • Experience with CMMS systems

Location: Hawthorne, CA

Compensation: $80,000 to $125,000 Annual Salary Depending on Experience

To comply with U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including ITAR, applicants must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual per 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain required authorizations.
