Material Handler
Position Overview
The Material Handler is responsible for ensuring accurate movement, tracking, and control of production materials throughout the manufacturing process. This role supports receiving, shipping, stockroom, and production needs while maintaining a high level of inventory accuracy and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities

Create, issue, and complete work orders in accordance with production schedules.

Support material handling functions across Receiving, Shipping, and Stockroom, including flexibility to work overtime as needed.

Perform, reconcile, and document inventory cycle counts; analyze results to ensure inventory integrity.

Monitor material transactions for box build operations, ensuring timely and accurate execution.

Identify, investigate, and resolve inventory discrepancies, performing root cause analysis to prevent recurrent issues.

Recommend and support process improvements that enhance material accuracy and workflow.

Compile and analyze material-related data, including inventory adjustments and reporting requirements.

Handle and record inventory transactions for customer-owned materials in compliance with customer and company requirements.

Collaborate closely with departmental supervisors, buyers, program managers, and cross-functional support teams to ensure timely material availability.

Perform additional duties as assigned.
Education & Experience

High school diploma, vocational training, or equivalent preferred.

Minimum of 2 years of material handling or related experience, with working knowledge of inventory control practices.
Skills & Qualifications

Strong teamwork and communication skills with the ability to build positive working relationships.

Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn new systems and software.

High attention to detail with the ability to follow written instructions, prioritize tasks, and work independently.
