Job Title: Research Alliances Intern (Corporate Sponsorships)


Position Summary:
The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research (“MJFF”) is seeking top talent for its Intern position within our Research Alliances Department. The Research Alliances team builds and manages strategic partnerships with industry and corporate partners to advance MJFF’s mission. The intern will support a strategic initiative focused on evaluating and strengthening our sponsorship offerings across the organization. It will provide a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of fundraising strategy, corporate engagement, and programmatic alignment.

The intern will conduct a comprehensive comparative analysis of MJFF’s existing sponsorship materials, including Foundation-wide corporate sponsorship menus as well as program- and event-specific offerings. Through this work, the intern will develop a holistic understanding of how sponsorship levels are currently structured, priced, and positioned across different MJFF initiatives.

The intern will analyze sponsorship offerings to identify patterns, inconsistencies, and gaps, assess how effectively tiers communicate value, and incorporate external benchmarking against peer organizations to inform opportunities for alignment, innovation, and competitiveness.

By synthesizing findings into clear insights, the intern will play a key role in informing future efforts to streamline and standardize sponsorship frameworks across the Foundation. This high-impact project will help enhance MJFF’s ability to engage and retain corporate partners at scale.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct a comprehensive review of MJFF’s current corporate sponsorship materials and menus
  • Analyze and compare sponsorship tiers across programs, focusing on pricing structures, benefits and deliverables, naming conventions and tier alignment, and value differentiation between levels
  • Benchmark against peer organizations to inform opportunities for alignment and improvement
  • Develop a structured framework or comparative matrix to clearly illustrate findings
  • Synthesize insights into clear, actionable recommendations for streamlining sponsorship tiers and benefits, improving consistency across programs, and enhancing clarity and value proposition for corporate partners
  • Present aggregated findings and recommendations to the MJFF Alliances team at conclusion of internship


Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience in one or more of the following:
  • Working in a relevant discipline within the nonprofit or business space
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Conscientious working style with great attention to detail
  • Proven ability to be resourceful and work independently
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office, specifically PowerPoint and data management in Excel
  • Interest in nonprofit development, partnerships, or fundraising strategy


Hourly Rate:

The hourly range for this position is:

  • Undergraduate Students: $18-$20/hour
