We are seeking a Jr Software Engineer to support the development and maintenance of complex software systems within a collaborative engineering environment. This role involves building scalable applications, integrating modern technologies, and supporting both frontend and backend development efforts.
The ideal candidate has experience with C++ and Python development, modern web technologies, containerization, and database platforms, along with a strong interest in developing innovative and mission-focused technical solutions.
### Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain full stack software applications and services
Develop backend functionality using C++, Python, Java, and related technologies
Build and maintain frontend applications using Angular, HTML, JavaScript, and modern web frameworks
Develop and support database solutions using MongoDB and SQL-based technologies
Deploy and manage applications using Docker and Kubernetes
Analyze user requirements and translate them into software design and performance solutions
Debug and resolve software defects and performance issues
Integrate software into new and existing systems and environments
Develop database queries and support data processing activities
Participate in software testing, validation, and quality assurance activities
Contribute to software documentation and process improvement initiatives
Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle
### Required Qualifications
Must be fully cleared with a recent MD polygraph
Must be willing and able to work fully onsite at the location listed in this posting
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
Strong programming experience with C++ and Python
Experience with Java development
Experience working with MongoDB and SQL databases
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
Experience developing frontend applications using Angular, HTML, and JavaScript
Understanding of software development lifecycle methodologies and best practices
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
