Internship/Master’s project – Quantum light sources

QuiX Quantum is pioneering advancements in photonic quantum computing, a dynamic and rapidly evolving field. Since our founding in 2019, we have achieved world records in quantum photonic processing. As we continue to expand, we're excited to offer an internship position in our team. This flexible, hybrid position offers work locations in Germany or the Netherlands.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, optimization and development of quantum photonics sources
- Research on novel integrated photonic components for quantum computing applications
- Analyze experimental data, fit to models and revise/improve designs
- Optional: Design and simulation of photonic components using common software like Lumerical, Rsoft etc.
- Optional: experimentally test integrated components for single photon generation
Required Qualifications:
- BSc in photonics, physics, or related
- Basic understanding of quantum physics
- Strong analytical skills, fitting experimental data to models using Python.
- Proficiency in English.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of integrated photonics
- Knowledge of quantum light generation in integrated photonics or bulk materials

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communicator and team player.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to high quality.
- Self-motivated, capable of managing multiple projects independently.
