We’re seeking an analytical and technical product leader to lead Digital product management and development. In the role of Manager, Digital Product Development, you will be tasked to build products in leu with our overall Digital Strategy. This primarily includes modernizing the way we build tech, work like a startup, and scale digitally to millions of users. The role specifically revolves around technology product development for Digital Telco and Video Streaming platforms, keeping in mind latest Social media, Content, and Communication trends.

The role reports directly to the Head of Digital Products & Solutions.

What does Manager, Digital Products do?

• Lead the end-to-end technical product development lifecycle for digital platforms, from concept and design to deployment and scale.
• Define, evolve, and govern the digital technology ecosystem to support digital products, including video streaming platforms and AdTech integrations across platforms.
• Manage vendor payment processes, including invoicing, approvals, and technology licensing fees. Manage technical budgets, cost allocation, and capacity planning to ensure efficient utilization of resources.
• Drive feature planning, development and rollout using Agile and DevOps practices in a large-scale telco environment.
• Lead and coordinate in-house and outsourced engineering teams and development partners to deliver against the product roadmap.
• Identify technical, delivery, and operational risks and proactively implement mitigation plans.
• Lead research and development initiatives, including definition of objectives, business use cases, cost estimates and resource requirements.
• Conduct regular product and solution reviews to ensure alignment with business objectives, compliance, and operational readiness.
• Work closely with VEON Group, commercial teams and internal stakeholders to ensure solutions are scalable, competitive and market-ready.
• Manage cross-functional dependencies and stakeholder commitments to ensure timely delivery.
• Establish reporting, analytics, and KPI frameworks to track product performance, delivery and operational metrics
• Champion Agile ways of working across teams and coach stakeholders on product and delivery best practices
• Act as Scrum Master, owning sprint ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews and retrospectives

Requirements

·       8-10 years of hands-on experience in technology and engineering management, with a minimum undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, AI/ML or a related discipline.

·       Leading projects and development teams for large scale (2M+ MAU) digital products, technologies, and platforms - Mobile, Web, Cloud Native stacks, API integrations and deployments via Agile practices.

·       Has led a team of either software engineers or technical product managers, with hands on experience in cost assessment and budget/resource allocation.

·       Software development experience in HTML5, Objective C, C#, Java, PHP, Native Mobile App development languages.

·       Product Management – Agile, Scrum, Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project etc.

·       Strong understanding of cloud-native technologies, including Docker, Kubernetes, microservices architecture, and public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

·       Cloud Streaming services – WMS Panel, Nimble Streamer, AWS Elemental Media Services etc.

·       Database management – MySQL, MariaDB, Cassandra

·       API’s - Web Services & Integrations Experience (SOAP / REST)

·       Implement CI/CD pipelines and manage DevOps teams.

·       Understands technology Intellectual Property Rights management.

·       Digital Analytics – Firebase, MixPanel, Google Analytics, Clevertap.

·       Exposure to AI/ML technologies (e.g., Python, TensorFlow) and RPA solutions is a plus.

·       Experience with Enterprise Service Bus, API Gateways, and middleware technologies (e.g., JBoss) is a plus.

·       Agile certifications (CSM, CSPO, or equivalent) are a plus.

·       Cloud certifications (AWS, Oracle Cloud, or equivalent) are a plus.
