Jump Trading Group is committed to world class research. We empower exceptional talents in Mathematics, Physics, and Computer Science to seek scientific boundaries, push through them, and apply cutting edge research to global financial markets. Our culture is unique. Constant innovation requires fearlessness, creativity, intellectual honesty, and a relentless competitive streak. We believe in winning together and unlocking unique individual talent by incenting collaboration and mutual respect. At Jump, research outcomes drive more than superior risk adjusted returns. We design, develop, and deploy technologies that change our world, fund start-ups across industries, and partner with leading global research organizations and universities to solve problems.

Jump is hiring a hands-on, player-coach, L&D professional to cover the APAC region; this role will partner with the global L&D team to extend and execute Jump's comprehensive learning and development strategy across all employee levels in APAC. The role will deliver both technical training and leadership development programs while building expert networks, running pilot programs, measuring ROI, and collaborating cross-organizationally to create innovative, high-impact training solutions.

What You’ll Do:

  • Be responsible for partnering with the global L&D team to design, drive, and execute Jump’s learning and development strategy and framework - focusing on established employees, new experienced hires, emerging managers, and senior executives.
  • Critically assess and evaluate learning opportunities to meet local business needs, cultural norms, and cross-cultural collaboration.
  • In conjunction with global efforts, build and implement a comprehensive range of technical and leadership development training across APAC. Technical training may include exciting and novel learning opportunities centered around math and statistics, technology and engineering, or general interest topics; leadership development may encompass manager effectiveness, communication and project management skills, and interviewer training.
  • Cultivate and maintain a network of both internal and external experts to deliver learning programs. This may include outside coaches and trainers, assessment specialists, or partnerships with select academic faculty.
  • Foster an experimental approach to executing the learning strategy, running pilot programs with select groups to explore proof-of-concept, then exporting successful offerings to other groups within the firm that may benefit from them.
  • Focus on development needs at the individual, management, and team levels. Devise a methodology for quantifying outcomes and measuring ROI. Take accountability for the results.
  • Be collaborative and influential, with an ability to build consensus and work effectively across organizational boundaries. Be comfortable with change, showing resilience in the face of ambiguous, challenging scenarios.
  • APAC is not one market, it is at least 5 distinctly different cultural operating environments - effective L&D in this region requires deep cultural intelligence, not just awareness. You will work with Business Leaders and People Ops partners to understand and define talent needs to proactively manage the talent learning and development agenda.
  • Other duties as assigned or needed.

Skills You’ll Need:

  • At least 8+ years of progressive experience in Learning & Development, Organizational Development, or Talent Development, etc.
  • Hands-on and low-ego, comfortable operating in a lean team without a large support structure.
  • Ability and willingness to lean into a global L&D team model to collaborate, align on priorities, and strategize both global and local approaches to leadership and professional development.
  • Advanced degree in IO Psychology, Organizational Development, Education, or related discipline; strong foundational knowledge in psychology, organizational behavior, or coaching methodology.
  • Experience in financial services, quantitative trading, hedge funds, or high-performance technology environments.
  • Significant experience managing complex, multi-regional programs in a matrixed, high-growth environment.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills that build relationships at all levels across the organization with the ability to influence, collaborate, and build consensus; has partnered directly with business leaders, not just HR - can sit across from a trading desk head or engineering lead, understand their real challenges, and translate them into targeted development interventions.
  • Established track record for taking a consultative approach to designing and delivering (training yourself and partnering with trainers) learning programs with measurable business results that meet stakeholder needs.
