CV Labs is the product and growth studio inside CanadaVisa, Canada's immigration engine. Our ecosystem reaches 1.5 million visitors per month, powers the country's largest immigration peer community (~1M members), processes thousands of cases per year, and delivers personalized guidance to 180,000+ registered users. We have distribution that most startups would kill for — and the engineering team to do something extraordinary with it.
We're building an AI-native law firm. Our people don't just serve clients — they collaborate with engineers to automate their own workflows, shape the product roadmap, and push the limits of what AI can do in a regulated practice. The goal isn't to use technology to make our team 10% faster. It's to rethink from first principles how legal services are sold and delivered, who can access them, and what this work looks like in 2026 and beyond.

The Opportunity
We have more demand than we can serve. Across our practice areas — Express Entry, work permits, family class, and more — qualified leads come to us every day through our content, our community, and our search dominance. Right now, most of them never get a callback. Not because the demand isn't real, but because we don't have enough sharp salespeople to convert it.
That's the opportunity. This isn't a role where you'll grind for leads or build a pipeline from cold dirt — it's a role where you'll finally work the warm, inbound demand we're already leaving on the table. The leads are here today. The infrastructure to serve them exists. The only bottleneck is talent.
We're hiring closers who can convert at velocity, deliver an exceptional client experience, and help us rethink how a legal practice sells at scale.
The Role
You'll own a book of business in one of our practice areas — speaking with prospective clients who come to us through our channels, understanding what they need, and guiding them to the right service. People come to us at a pivotal moment in their lives, often unsure and a little overwhelmed. Your job is to make them feel understood, explain how we can help, and turn interest into a signed client.
You'll own the relationship from first conversation through retainer, then hand off to the department team that delivers the work — staying close enough to keep the experience seamless. You'll report to the Chief Growth Officer and work as part of a growth function that treats each practice area like its own business.
What You'll Do
Convert warm demand. Work inbound leads across one or more practice areas. Understand each prospect's situation, position the right service, handle objections, and close. You'll be measured on conversion and revenue — and supported with the volume to hit ambitious numbers.
Own your numbers. You'll carry a revenue target and the autonomy to hit it. The leads are warm and the demand is real; your job is to convert at velocity while delivering an experience clients rave about.
Deliver a standout client experience. People are trusting us with something that matters. You're warm, responsive, and clear — the kind of first impression that makes someone feel they're in good hands from minute one. Fast response times aren't a nice-to-have here; they're how we win.
Build the machine. Collaborate with our product and engineering team to automate intake, qualification, and follow-up. Today a conversation might take real time and manual work. We want to compress everything that doesn't need a human, so you spend your time where it counts. You'll help us figure out how.
10x yourself with AI. You'll use AI every day — to research prospects, prepare for calls, follow up, manage your pipeline, and handle the work that used to take a team. We expect you to come in fluent and push us further. The salespeople who win here aren't replaced by AI; they're the ones using it to outwork a whole team.
Codify what works. Build the scripts, playbooks, and training materials that let us ramp the next hire in days, not months. As we grow, the best version of what you do becomes how everyone does it.
Who You Are
A closer. You've carried a quota and beaten it. You're persuasive, clear, and concise, and you're energized — not drained — by a full calendar and a number to hit. You know how to move someone from interested to committed without ever being pushy.
High-velocity. You thrive on volume. You can run a high-quality conversation in minutes, prioritize ruthlessly, and keep dozens of opportunities moving at once without dropping the human touch.
A fast learner. Immigration experience is a plus, not a prerequisite. We've built AI-powered training tools that can get you selling quickly. We'd rather hire someone with killer instincts and teach them the domain than the reverse.
AI-native. You've used Claude, ChatGPT, and the tools built on them, and you've thought seriously about what they mean for sales. You don't just tolerate working alongside AI — you're already doing it, and you're excited to push it further. You know what 10x efficiency actually looks like in a sales motion.
A systems thinker. When you solve a problem twice, you ask why it isn't automated. You don't need to write code, but you think in funnels, conversion rates, and repeatable processes.
Startup-wired. You want ownership, speed, and impact. You're not looking for a playbook someone else wrote — you want to write it. You thrive where the rules are still being figured out, and you want your ceiling to be set by your results, not your title.
Bonus: outbound chops. Most of what we do is inbound today, but some of our practice areas could be huge with the right person hunting. If you've built and run an outbound motion before, we want to know.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary: $80,000 – $160,000 CAD (commensurate with experience)
Commission: Uncapped, 5% of revenue closed, paid at close
OTE: $140,000 – $230,000+ CAD
