Paperless Post
Posted about 4 hours ago
Paperless Post is seeking a part-time Junior Production & Design Operations Associate to join our Content Division. In this role, you will be tagging, uploading, and organizing content in our CMS, troubleshooting issues, and making our library searchable and well-merchandised. You will also be involved in preparing finished designs for production — formatting text, applying approved layouts, and creating variations of designs that our in-house designers and partners have already created. If you love systems, organization, tagging taxonomies, and the satisfaction of a well-maintained content library — and you happen to have a good eye that helps you make sound judgment calls on layout and visual consistency — read on.
This position reports directly to our Production Design & Operations Manager and is required to work out of our NYC office 2x per week.
What you’ll do here
Design Operations:
- Upload finished design files to our site through our back-end CMS, and troubleshoot simple technical issues as they come up
- Tag designs and resources so they're correctly categorized, filterable, and well-merchandised across the site, following our tagging strategy and ensuring consistent execution across thousands of assets
- Build and maintain a digital asset management system for our finished designs, including our library of card and flyer resources (backgrounds, backdrops, liners, envelopes, stamps, stickers/motifs, typefaces, text styles, and more)
- Maintain content operations documentation, style guides, and production workflow documentation, with guidance from your manager and Art Director
- Serve as a tooling expert and go-to resource for the production, content, and merch teams as you build expertise in our tools
- Support improving our internal tooling to improve efficiency of the design operations processes
- Identify and advocate for opportunities to improve our internal tools/admin system to improve efficiency of the design operations processes with guidance and support from manager
- Submit and follow up on bug reports, coordinating with product and engineering teams to ensure issues are resolved and tickets are closed
- Assist with QA of build links and new feature functionalities and internal tooling
- Assist with special projects geared at resolving site and admin issues with guidance and support from manager
Production Design:
- Prepare raw art assets for production, format text layouts, and create variations for approved designs from in-house designers and design partners with guidance from manager
- Produce and reformat simple design collections for select design partners
What you bring to the table
- 1-2 years of related experience in content operations, production, digital asset management, or a similar role
- Impeccable attention to detail and thorough organizational skills when working with a large number of files and assets
- Interest in/experience with AI tooling such as Claude and Gemini
- Interest in CMS, tagging, and QA work
- Strong technical mind, able to liaise with P/E teams
- Ability to work independently and be accountable for the accuracy of your work
- Comfort multi-tasking in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Good visual judgment — ability to flag inconsistencies in layouts across various designs
Tools required:
- Strong command of the Adobe Suite (specifically, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign) + Google Suite.
Nice to have:
- Figma, Airtable, and Asana
