Dark Wolf is looking for a Google Cloud Engineer. Dark Wolf’s Google Cloud Engineers are responsible for designing, implementing, and managing Google Cloud Platform (GCP) solutions for our customers. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of GCP services and technologies, as well as experience in designing and implementing scalable, reliable, and secure cloud solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage GCP solutions tailored to client needs.
- Develop and maintain IaC using tools like Terraform.
- Configure GCP services including Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, and Cloud SQL.
- Implement security best practices and collaborate with cybersecurity experts to support Authority to Operate (ATO) engagements.
- Work within a cross-functional team to deliver iterative value.
Junior Google Cloud Engineer Requirements:
- 2+ years of relevant experience.
- Strong grasp of Linux command line, shell scripting, and Git.
- Familiarity with core GCP services (Compute, Storage, Networking).
- Ability to take direction from senior leads and a desire to earn GCP certifications quickly.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a security clearance.
Mid-Level Google Cloud Engineer Requirements:
- 4+ years of relevant experience.
- Proven experience with Terraform and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience deploying and managing Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).
- Understanding of IAM, VPC Service Controls, and encryption at rest/transit.
- Experience with Assured Workloads or Security Command Center is a plus.
Senior Google Cloud Engineer Requirements:
- 8+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience leading technical teams and mentoring junior staff.
- Ability to design complex, multi-region, resilient architectures from scratch.
- Deep knowledge of DoD/DISA cybersecurity policies and navigating the ATO process.
- Ability to interface directly with government stakeholders to translate mission requirements into technical specs.
Preferred Qualifications (All Levels)
- Google Cloud Professional Architect, Security Engineer, or DevOps Engineer.
- Experience working with U.S. Federal Government or DoD customers.
- Active Secret or Top Secret clearance.
This is a hybrid role based out of one of our regional hubs: Herndon, VA | Tampa, FL | Huntsville, AL | Colorado Springs, CO | Ogden, UT | Omaha, NE
The salary range for this position is estimated to be the following, commensurate on experience and technical skillset.
- Junior Level: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00
- Mid Level: $120,000.00 - $160,000.00
- Senior Level: $160,000.00 - $190,000.00
