Position Overview

We are seeking a Physician to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care and serve as faculty in a Physician Residency Program. This role combines clinical responsibilities with teaching, mentorship, and program development to support the next generation of physicians.

Physician Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective patient care plans, including diagnostics, treatments, consultations, and referrals
  • Manage continuity of care through proper scheduling, follow-ups, and tracking of chronic conditions, abnormal results, and missed appointments
  • Deliver whole-person care by addressing biological, psychological, social, and environmental factors
  • Coordinate referrals to specialists such as social workers, nutritionists, and mental health professionals
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant medical documentation
  • Perform and document routine health screenings and preventive services
  • Educate patients on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and preventive care
  • Adhere to infection control protocols and universal precautions
  • Oversee residents in the management of hospital patients
  • Document daily progress notes and respond to patient-related communications
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical protocol development
  • Attend required meetings, trainings, and in-service sessions

Faculty Responsibilities

  • Support residency program operations, including coordinating clinical rotations
  • Mentor and counsel residents on academic and clinical performance
  • Participate in program evaluations and on-site reviews
  • Assist in the recruitment and selection of residency candidates
  • Teach and supervise medical students and residents

Requirements

Education & Training

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution
  • Completion of an accredited residency program
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible
  • Active or eligible for state medical licensure
  • DEA certification
  • Current CPR certification
  • Ongoing commitment to continuing medical education

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong patient-centered care and customer service skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic clinical setting

Technical Skills

  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard office equipment

Additional Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Participation in required training and quality improvement initiatives
