At Trustpilot, we're on an incredible journey. We're a profitable, high-growth FTSE-250 company with a big vision: to become the universal symbol of trust. We run the world's largest independent consumer review platform, and while we've come a long way, there's still so much exciting work to do. Come join us at the heart of trust!
The Global Social Media Manager is an expert on social best-practice, and our enthusiastic champion of all things social within the Creative Studio and wider Marketing and Comms.
We require a day-to-day lead who lives in-feed and understands exactly what captures attention. Responsibilities extend beyond simply posting content; this position serves as a key creative contributor, ensuring brand relevance, speed, and technical excellence.
As a proactive member of the Creative Studio, this role bridges the gap between high-level brand goals and platform-native reality. Success in this position requires staying updated on the latest trends, platform updates and community behaviors, while possessing the creative spark to concept and pitch original ideas that cut through the noise.
This is an opportunity for a social specialist who is deeply clued up on best practice and their craft, who wants to use those skills to help shape the trajectory of a globally loved brand with an inspiring mission - “To be the universal symbol of trust”.
The role suits a proactive individual who thrives on the adrenaline of a real-time trend and wants the autonomy to pitch, produce, and polish content that actually gets talked about.
Good to know:
- Priority audience: B2B - although there is plenty of opportunity for consumer campaigns
- Primary channels: LinkedIn, YouTube
- Secondary or upcoming channels: Reddit, Instagram, TikTok
- Production experience: beneficial (could be up to 10-20% of the role), but not required as this role sits within our wider Creative Studio of designers and video specialists
- The role will partner closely with our Global Social Experience Manager who handles community management, and on occasion will support them (e.g. crisis management, reputational initiatives).
What you’ll be doing:
Creative concepting and pitching
- Participate in Studio brainstorms, providing platform-first ideas that align with global campaign themes.
- Proactively pitch social-first concepts to Creative and Strategy leads, backed by data on current resonance.
- Draft simple concepts, storyboards or scripts for short-form video (TikTok/Reels) to help stakeholders visualize creative visions.
- Identify gaps in the current content mix and propose fresh series, recurring segments, or engagement tactics.
Global stewardship
- Operationalize our "Global Guardians, Regional Champions" approach, partnering closely with regional PR and Social Managers to ensure global consistency and local relevance.
- Actively listen to and understand the unique needs of regional teams to help them win in their specific markets.
- Define and deliver clear guidelines, playbooks, and templates that empower all teams to execute high-quality social content efficiently.
Best-in-class copywriting
- Deliver best-in-class social copywriting that balances the brand’s global tone of voice with platform-native wit and brevity.
- Approve regional captions and posts in our global Sprout queue.
Content execution and publishing
- Lead the end-to-end publishing process across all global social channels, ensuring 100% accuracy and optimal timing.
- Transform raw creative assets into platform-perfect posts, advising on the best formats, aspect ratios, and caption styles.
- Maintain the global social content calendar to ensure a consistent, high-quality "drumbeat" of brand activity.
Trend participation and proactive posting
- Scour social platforms daily to identify trending audio, memes, and conversations for authentic brand participation.
- Act with tenacity to turn around reactive content ideas quickly, working with the creative team to get "on-trend" posts live during periods of high relevance.
Community engagement and voice
- Act as the frontline voice of the brand, engaging with the community in comments and DMs with speed and brand-appropriate personality.
- Monitor mentions and industry tags to spark conversations, build relationships with advocates, and flag potential issues to leadership.
Platform best practice & specs
- Serve as the Studio’s technical resource for social media; ensuring all content meets accessibility standards and follows platform-specific best practices.
- Provide feedback to the Creative team on the "social-readiness" of concepts prior to production.
Tracking and reporting
- Pull weekly performance data, focusing on engagement, reach, and community growth.
- Provide insights to the wider Studio and Marketing team regarding which pitched concepts performed best and the contributing factors.
Studio operations
- Support day-to-day studio operations, including progressing intake requests and briefing the design agency and freelancers to ensure seamless project flow.
