The Role
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Operations Safety, the Assistant Manager, Operational Risk and Safety will be a pivotal leader responsible for driving global operational safety, risk management, and strategic cross-functional initiatives.
You will be responsible for exploring and executing different insurance options to enhance the protection of goods being delivered, driving critical risk and data analysis to weed out scams and frauds, and optimizing our proprietary Safety Incident Management Platform (SIMP). This role requires a high-caliber project manager who can seamlessly bridge the gap between global strategy and local market execution while managing complex stakeholder landscapes.
Essential Qualifications:

Experience: A minimum of 6–10 years of professional experience in Operations Safety, Trust & Safety, Risk Management, or Asset Protection (preferably within On-Demand Delivery, Ride-Hailing, Marketplace, or E-commerce industries).

Education: A recognized bachelor's degree or above in Business, Law, Supply Chain, Risk Management, Criminology or a related discipline.

Project Management Skills: Proven track record of building operational frameworks from scratch and successfully localizing them across regional markets.

Data Savvy: Strong capability to leverage data analytics (working with BI teams/dashboards) to track risk patterns and formulate proactive solutions.

Language Proficiency: Full professional fluency in both written and spoken English and Chinese (to effectively collaborate with regional markets and HQ).

Experience launching or managing insurance/claims programs within a digital platform environment.

Deep understanding of anti-fraud mechanics, identity verification (facial recognition tech), and syndicate abuse patterns.

Exceptional stakeholder management and negotiation skills; comfortable working with legal teams, external partners, and senior leadership.

Familiarity with ISO standards, incident response protocols, and high-turnover gig workforce dynamics.
