Maintenance & Reliability Manager

Job Description:

1.      Line management responsible for Maintenance (Mechanical, E&I, Warehouse) team members

2.      Implement and optimize Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Predictive Maintenance programs

3.      Manage with maintenance planners/schedulers on optimized work plans.

4.      Ensure all works carried out by Maintenance team conform to the required Safety standards and Procedures, eg PTW compliance, Risk assessment, MOC compliance, etc.

5.      Drive Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement sustainable corrective actions.

6.      Own and manage key reliability KPIs (not limiting), including:

·        MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures)

·        MTTR (Mean Time to Repair)

·        OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness)

·        Unplanned downtime reduction metrics

7.      Preventive Maintenance (PM) compliance

8.      Analyze maintenance and equipment data to identify performance trends, chronic failure modes, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.

9.      Develop and publish monthly Maintenance & Reliability performance reports, highlighting key insights, KPI results, downtime drivers, and recommended improvement actions.

10.   Provide data-driven recommendations to Plant stakeholders to enhance equipment reliability, optimize maintenance strategies, and reduce overall cost of ownership.

11.   Strengthen work order processes, planning, and scheduling effectiveness to ensure high-quality execution, proper prioritization, and efficient resource utilization.

12. Ensure that appropriate maintenance strategies and industry best practices (CM, PM Optimization, precision maintenance standards) are applied to all maintenance and modification activities to achieve the highest levels of equipment reliability, availability, and performance.

13.   Eliminate repetitive and chronic failures through engineered solutions, asset redesign, preventive maintenance enhancements, and collaboration with engineering for long-term corrective actions.

14.   Lead and drive continuous improvement initiatives, such as Lean, Six Sigma, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), and 5S, to enhance maintenance productivity, reduce waste, and improve asset performance.

15.   Develop long-term asset care strategies and capital replacement plans.

16.   Perform life-cycle cost analysis to guide repair/replace decisions.

17.   Collaborate with Technical and Production for equipment upgrades and CAPEX projects., and other improvement initiatives

18.   Optimize spare parts usage and ensure critical spares availability.

19.   Build capability in maintenance teams

20.   Work closely with other functional department, eg Production, Technology, Procurement, Finance, etc.

21.   Develop and Oversees Investment plans, Budgeting and Procedures

22.   Present reliability findings and recommendations to plant or executive leadership.

23.   Hire, Train, Develop and Coach the Function team with diverse technical skill.

24.   Assessment and review of in-house contractors’ performance and the contract

25.   Undertakes special assignments or projects as directed by the Manufacturing Director

Requirements

1.      7–10+ years of experience in maintenance or reliability roles in manufacturing (Oil/ gas)

2.      Previous leadership experience preferred.

3.      Supervisory experience to manage multi discipline team of maintenance, Project, Reliability functions

4.      Experienced in managing Plant Turnaround event

5.      Excellent People Management skill

6.      Strong organizational and analytical skills.

7.      Good Negotiation and team alignment skills for conflicting Priorities.

8.      Experience of Manufacturing, Project management & maintenance work Processes preferred

9.      Advance written & verbal communication skills

10.   Experience with CMMS/EAM systems (SAP PM, Maximo, Infor, etc.)

11.   Proficient in data analysis and interpretation
