About Flora Professional

Flora Professional is the foodservice and food manufacturing arm of our business, supporting customers across out-of-home channels and industrial applications.

The UK is a key market within our global network, playing a leading role in driving quality, pace, and execution. Our teams combine deep culinary expertise with commercial focus, working closely with customers to develop practical, scalable food solutions that deliver in real kitchen environments.

About the Position

As Senior Business Development Chef, you will play a critical role in unlocking growth through culinary expertise and customer engagement.

You will work as part of the commercial team to design and deliver customer-focused culinary solutions across both Foodservice and Food Manufacturing sectors — from major chains and hospitality groups to manufacturers supplying retail and food-to-go markets.

This is a highly visible, hands-on role requiring strong industry knowledge, creativity, and the ability to bring products to life in real-world applications. You’ll act as a bridge between culinary, commercial, and marketing teams, ensuring our ingredients are positioned effectively within customer menus and product development.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Culinary Development & Customer Engagement

  • Understand key customer needs and influence menu development through tailored culinary solutions.
  • Identify and unlock new opportunities within customer accounts to drive product adoption and growth.
  • Deliver engaging and inspirational culinary demonstrations to both internal and external audiences.

Commercial Support & Growth

  • Work closely with Sales teams to support customer development and convert culinary engagement into commercial outcomes.
  • Track and evaluate the impact of culinary activities on sales performance, providing clear recommendations on future focus areas.
  • Support strategic account development across Foodservice and manufacturing channels.

Brand & Activation Support

  • Collaborate with Marketing on trade shows, customer events, and activation programmes.
  • Support the creation of recipes, photography, video content, and culinary storytelling.
  • Contribute to positioning our products effectively across different channels and usage occasions.

Internal Collaboration & Capability Building

  • Support onboarding and training of new colleagues through culinary induction sessions.
  • Partner with the Global Culinary Team to build deep expertise in our ingredient portfolio and adapt solutions for the UK market.
  • Work cross-functionally with Technical, Marketing, and Commercial teams to ensure alignment and delivery.

What Does It Take to Be Successful?

We’re looking for a highly credible, commercially aware chef who combines culinary expertise with the ability to influence customers and drive growth.

You should have:

Essential

  • Strong culinary background with experience across the UK out-of-home / hospitality sector.
  • Proven ability to translate insights into practical, scalable culinary solutions.
  • A confident and engaging presenter, able to inspire a wide range of audiences.
  • A proactive, self-starting mindset with the ability to work independently and at pace.
  • Strong industry network within Foodservice and hospitality.

Desirable

  • Experience working with QSR chains and/or food manufacturing customers.
  • Understanding of commercial drivers, including how culinary activity links to sales growth and customer development.

What’s Next?

If you’re ready to bring culinary expertise to life and help shape how our products are used across Foodservice and manufacturing, we’d love to hear from you.
