Keller Executive Search has been retained by a growing technology publishing business to identify a Managing Director, Technology Publishing. This fully remote executive role is ideal for a commercially minded publishing leader with experience in technology media, digital publishing, B2B information services, or specialist content businesses.
Our client is looking for a senior leader who can oversee business performance, editorial direction, audience growth, partnerships, and operational execution for a technology-focused publishing portfolio. The Managing Director will be responsible for strengthening the brand’s market position while supporting sustainable revenue growth.
Key requirements
- Set the strategic direction for a technology publishing portfolio covering areas such as AI, cybersecurity, digital infrastructure, data, software, innovation, and emerging markets.
- Lead cross-functional teams across editorial, audience, product, marketing, partnerships, and operations.
- Own revenue growth across subscriptions, sponsorships, events, research products, partnerships, and digital offerings.
- Identify new market opportunities, content formats, and product extensions.
- Manage budgets, performance metrics, planning cycles, and leadership reporting.
- Build strong relationships with industry experts, commercial partners, contributors, and senior stakeholders.
- Strengthen the publication’s credibility, audience reach, and commercial performance.
Requirements
- Executive leadership experience in technology publishing, digital media, B2B media, research publishing, or specialist information services.
- Proven track record of growing revenue, audience, and brand visibility.
- Strong understanding of subscriptions, sponsorships, events, content products, and digital audience models.
- Excellent commercial judgment and operational discipline.
- Experience leading remote or distributed teams.
- Strong communication skills and ability to influence across editorial and commercial functions.
