Keller Executive Search is partnering with a specialized global policy media organization to appoint a Chief Operating Officer, Global Policy Media. This is a fully remote C-suite role overseeing operations, finance, people, systems, technology, and organizational execution for a media platform focused on global affairs, public policy, science, risk, and international issues.

Our client is seeking an operationally strong executive who can serve as a key partner to the CEO and senior leadership team. The COO will ensure the organization has the systems, structure, processes, and financial discipline required to support editorial excellence and sustainable growth.

Key requirements

  • Lead day-to-day business operations across finance, people operations, technology, administration, systems, and organizational infrastructure.
  • Translate strategic priorities into operating plans, budgets, processes, and measurable outcomes.
  • Support growth across publishing, audience development, partnerships, events, and digital products.
  • Improve internal workflows, reporting, resource allocation, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Oversee vendor relationships, compliance, operational risk, and business continuity.
  • Partner with the CEO and leadership team on long-range planning, board reporting, and organizational performance.
  • Build scalable processes while preserving the agility and creativity of a media environment.

Requirements

  • Senior operations leadership experience in media, publishing, policy, research, digital content, or mission-led information businesses.
  • Experience overseeing finance, people operations, systems, technology, and organizational operations.
  • Strong commercial, financial, and operational judgment.
  • Ability to bring structure to creative, editorial, or knowledge-based environments.
  • Experience working closely with CEOs, boards, or executive leadership teams.
  • Comfort leading remote teams and managing distributed operations.
