Role Summary

As Specialist Hardware Testing Technician you will play a key role in the commissioning of the printer system and its ancillary equipment. You will assist with building and assembling products as well as completing corrective and preventative work required. You will assist with making sure the products are ready and packed in the appropriate way based on the type of shipping method, which country the goods are being shipped to and any other applicable regulations. You will support technical training of our Contract Manufacturers and their staff to ensure that they are equipped to support production of a high technical level of equipment which supports in-time, compliant and accurately produced goods to the business.

What will you own?

  • Contribute to manufacturing and assembly of equipment, ensuring compliance and quality to meet standards and customer expectations
  • Assist with creation of technical instructions and guidelines and ensuring these are forwarded to the correct persons and included in the management system
  • Assist with commissioning/testing of equipment and sub-assemblies; documentation, taking measurements, contributing to test method development, and performing corrective actions to ensure the equipment delivers on the expected level
  • Train our Contract Manufacturers to meet technical and quality requirements set by Markforged which maintains the quality standards of the Company
  • As the experienced technician you will assist with planning, leading and execution of service and maintenance of on-site Markforged equipment
  • Creation of supplementary technical documentation and instructions
  • Any other duties as reasonably required

What you have:

  • Significant and demonstrable technical skills and credibility at a high level
  • Ability to read, interpret and understand technical drawings
  • Problem solving mindset
  • Proven ability and experience to be able to analyze, find root causes and establish / improve corrective and preventative measures
  • Ability to plan and execute your work in the most efficient way
  • Flexibility to adapt to fast changing environment and changing priorities
  • Be direct and clear in communication with stakeholders, both internal and external and at the same time work to find solutions and challenge the status quo
  • As a skilled collaborator you will be able to work cross functionally with different stakeholders, both internally and externally, ensuring that all viewpoints are considered and heard and escalate issues as needed
  • 4-6 years of related experience

Physical Demands / Working Environment:

  • Normal requirement as work takes place in office / production environment

Communication / Interface (stakeholders):

  • Responsible for internal and external communications with appropriate stakeholders (internal: MF teams, external: contract manufacturers)

Salary Range

The salary range for this role is expected to be between $48,074.25 - $64,099.00. Actual base pay could vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, subject matter expertise, geographic location, certifications, licenses, business needs and the applicant’s skill set.  The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other components may include a comprehensive benefits package. The estimated compensation range listed in this job posting reflects base salary only.
