This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about laboratory-based scientific research and drug discovery, looking to further develop their expertise in a collaborative and dynamic environment.

About the Role

The successful candidate will receive cross-department training and contribute to studies supporting human and animal health drug discovery and development. You will work closely with experienced scientists and cross-functional teams, supporting a variety of laboratory and analytical activities related to DMPK science and bioanalysis.

Key Responsibilities

Drug Discovery & Development Support

  • Support the execution of DMPK and bioanalytical studies
  • Interpret and follow detailed experimental protocols and procedures
  • Generate high-quality scientific data within challenging timelines
  • Support sample preparation and analytical workflows for LC-MS analysis
  • Prepare analytical standards, calibration curves, and biological matrices
  • Perform in vitro experimentation and high-throughput screening activities
  • Support metabolite characterization and enzymology investigations
  • Ensure accurate documentation and record keeping using relevant systems (including LIMS)

Scientific Development

  • Develop knowledge and expertise in DMPK and bioanalysis
  • Stay up to date with scientific developments and industry trends
  • Participate in training programs and scientific conferences
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the laboratory

Quality, Compliance & Safety

  • Work in accordance with quality systems and sponsor-specific requirements
  • Maintain careful and timely laboratory records
  • Support safe laboratory operations and compliance with health & safety procedures

Requirements

Education & Qualifications

  • BSc or MSc in Life Sciences or a related scientific field

Experience

  • Previous industry experience working in a laboratory environment
  • Experience in a pharmaceutical environment is highly desirable
  • Understanding of the drug discovery and development process

Skills & Knowledge

  • Broad understanding of ADME studies and their importance in drug discovery and development
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to manage multiple studies and priorities simultaneously
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Teams
  • Fluent in English
