TEAM AND ROLE
In this role, you will support our RNG trading operations by ensuring accurate trade execution, overseeing the timely delivery of volumes to registries, and managing the creation of PoSEs for our clients. You will play a key role in maintaining data accuracy, driving process efficiency through automation, building sustainability knowledge, and ensuring smooth collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Verify incoming/outgoing deliveries, maintain updated inventory and mass balances (stock files), and track open deals to ensure timely deliveries within agreed terms.
  • Ensure accurate execution of RNG deliveries, support trading strategies, and process physical gas deals in the system.
  • Act as the main contact for inquiries, collaborating with Portfolio Managers, Contracts, Finance, Risk, Sustainability, Policy and Compliance to streamline information flow and analysis.
  • Check and validate accuracy including sustainability information of PoS received, collect and organize all necessary documentation for audits, and manage transfers, redemptions, and expiring volumes across registries and countries.
  • Collaborate with front office and sustainability teams to understand and, when needed, challenge their strategies while contributing to regional/global consistency, efficiency, and automation improvements.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in Financial Engineering, Econometrics, Statistics, Finance, Economics, Quantitative studies, or another Quantitative discipline including 2 to 5 years of working experience in a similar position within a trading environment or similar industry
  • Basic understanding of commodity trading/financial markets
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables) and Exposure to VBA & Power Query is advantageous
  • Self-motivated and demonstrated ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Based in Amsterdam and fluent in English
