Your Mission: 

This Senior Software Engineer role at Propeller will see you play a key role in shaping Propeller's DirtMate platform. The positioning and progress tracking tools that help site teams see exactly what's happening on a live job site in real time. You'll lead feature development end to end across mobile and web platforms, contribute to architectural decisions, and help turn raw data into clear, actionable insight for our customers.

You'll be working on a fast-moving product with a huge runway of meaningful features which we plan to release throughout 2026. The most exciting part of joining this team would be the variety of technical challenges you’ll face, along with the speed at which you can innovate. You’ll be building products which have a real world impact on construction and mining teams around the world.

Your Responsibilities:

• Build and ship features end to end across mobile and web for DirtMate use-cases
• Help shape architecture and technical direction as the platform scales
• Collaborate closely with a broader product and engineering team to ensure alignment
• Incorporate AI tools into your daily coding workflow while maintaining full ownership of task definition and the final review of all code changes
• Contribute to a pragmatic, fast-moving engineering culture that values impact and quality

Requirements

• You have strong technical expertise in Node.js, React and Python
• You have effective communication skills with a proactive approach to knowledge sharing across teams.
• You have strong project management skills and can own a feature from start to finish
• You collaborate effectively with product and design to shape great user experiences
• You thrive in a team environment and contribute to a positive engineering culture
