As we continue to grow across Australia and New Zealand, we are looking for a commercially minded and highly analytical Merchandise Planner to join our team and help shape the future of our Direct-to-Consumer business.

About the Role

Are you a master of numbers with a passion for creating exceptional guest experiences? At Arc’teryx, you’ll play a key role in shaping our Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) channels across Retail and eCommerce throughout ANZ.

As a key stakeholder in our seasonal Go-to-Market process, you’ll help balance brand storytelling with commercial performance through strategic assortment planning, forecasting, reporting and in-season execution. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure every product launch is successful, inventory is optimised, and our assortments connect with the local consumer.

What You’ll Do

  • Build and execute guest-focused assortments across Retail and eCommerce channels
  • Develop financial and visual seasonal assortment plans aligned to commercial targets
  • Support seasonal forecasting and buy planning across assigned categories
  • Analyse consumer trends, local market insights and competitor activity to identify opportunities and risks
  • Drive assortment optimisation, seasonal flow and store capacity planning
  • Partner closely with HQ and local teams to ensure assortments meet channel and guest needs
  • Collaborate cross-functionally across Brand, Retail, eCommerce, Marketing, Demand Planning, Allocations and Supply Chain
  • Monitor and manage product lifecycle performance to optimise sales, margin and sell-through
  • Deliver detailed reporting and analysis on category and product performance
  • Utilise historical and current sales data to forecast inventory and in-season trading performance
  • Support monthly and seasonal product launches across Retail and eCommerce channels
  • Review sell-through data and take decisive action to improve sales and inventory efficiency

What You’ll Bring

  • 2+ years’ experience in merchandise planning/buying within DTC or wholesale channels.
  • Proven experience in local Merchandise Planning within women’s apparel is essential
  • Strong understanding of merchandise planning processes, forecasting and inventory management
  • Advanced analytical and Excel skills with the ability to translate data into commercial decisions
  • Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Experience within apparel, footwear, outdoor or sporting goods is highly regarded
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce or a related discipline preferred
