Intertek, a leading international company specializing in Assurance, Testing, Inspection, and Certification (ATIC) services, is seeking a Mechanical Resident Inspector / Engineer to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing mechanical inspections and ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements on-site. This role involves close collaboration with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure smooth execution of inspection activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed mechanical inspections on-site according to project schedules and requirements.
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and specifications.
- Coordinate with contractors and project teams to monitor progress and report any deviations or non-conformances.
- Prepare and maintain accurate inspection reports and documentation.
- Identify issues and provide technical guidance to resolve problems promptly.
- Support safety procedures and ensure all activities comply with HSE regulations.
- Participate in project meetings and provide updates on inspection status.
- Facilitate communication between the client, contractors, and Intertek management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Inspector or Engineer in industrial projects, preferably in the energy or construction sectors.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical codes, standards, and inspection techniques.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- Willingness to work on-site and travel as required.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
